Villas Caracol - 77310 Isla de Holbox

One of the best places on the island. And seriously one of my favorite places on earth. Staff was super friendly. Great location on the beach. Restaurant that is part of the hotel on the beach has amazing food and drink. I had them make lobster tacos for me that I now crave. Home made blue and white corn tortillas were incredible. Planning a trip back in April for my husbands birthday and I can’t wait.

Excellent location, very clean and spacious rooms, an amazing cocktail bar by the swimming pool, and extremely helpful staff. I happened to fall sick when in there (nothing related to the hotel praxis) and the girls at the reception were extremely helpful and proactive when it came to contacting and requesting medical help. The doctor had to come to visit me for 4 days in a row and the hotel decided to cover all the medical expenses. This place is a 10. If we ever go back to Holbox, we'll book in here for sure. Congrats to the staff!

My husband and I stayed for 8 nights - a much needed time for rest and relaxation. Everything was wonderful from the moment we arrived - lovely spacious clean room, great cocktails at the pool bar (thank you daisy!) and the food at the restaurant was delicious. One of the best locations / parts of the beach on the island. Hope to be back!

Great hotel, rooms and pool. Beach very narrow and not enough sun beds. Restaurant (especially breakfast) with chaotic staff and overpriced.

My partner and I stayed eight nights in this lovely hotel with a couple of our friends. We all found it to be excellent. The rooms were very clean, aesthetically pleasing, functional and well designed. The rooms had multiple lighting options and additional comfortable furniture. The beds were very comfortable, clean, crisp and soft bedding, comfortable pillows albeit a bit on the large side. The pool was very nice, surrounded by palm trees and other shade making vegetation; comfortable pool furniture and abundant clean towels. The staff, particularly Araceli at the front desk, were absolutely fantastic, went above and beyond to assist us at every turn, including when we left some jewelry in the room and they send someone all the way to the mainland with it; just delightfully assuring. The breakfast was good enough, with fresh ingredients and attentive service. The beach is not very wide but is immediately across the little road and has comfortable, shaded lounge chairs. The only thing that I would change about the hotel is the next door club as they blasted electronic music every afternoon, making it impossible to take a nap or rest in silence; very unfortunate, but probably not an issue if you are into the loud party vibe; at least the go quiet around seven so it’s only a few hours a day. Overall we were very satisfied with our stay at the hotel, which was at full capacity when we visited, yet never felt crowded and staff were always available when we needed them.

This small but wonderful hotel is a very special place..the rooms are lovely..the staff is extremely friendly and helpful..the restaurant serves great food and cocktails..a very nice pool w a swim up bar...and a beautiful beach feet from the entrance...you could have a spectacular vacation without leaving the grounds

I had requested a few times as their actual deposit contract does not state the deposit is nonrefundable, but they refused to honor my request. We had given them a deposit for our wedding, which we cannot have since some of our family are immunocompromised and cannot travel due to COVID. We were hoping for their understanding

We loved spending 10 days at Villas Caracol last week! So many great personal touches along the way made our trip very memorable. The staff were helpful as we practiced our Spanish but were always willing to help clarify in English. A few amazing perks: 1. Amazing breakfast and coffee / juice included for free each morning! So many options that we tried something new each day. Las Hamacas is a wonderful restaurant that we would have definitely chosen to eat at even if we weren’t staying there. 2. Amazing twice daily room cleans to sweep out extra sand that inevitably gets into the room by us tracking in and out. Cleaning staff loaded us with 4 water bottles daily and espresso so we didn’t have to worry about purchasing any water during the week! 3. The staff were helpful always, with strong English and Spanish to help us request taxi service, request COVID tests in our room and help me unlock my safe when I forgot my code! The staff put on an amazing wedding ceremony, dinner and dancing for guests while we were visiting so they can handle it all! So many fun treats, drinks and other freebies the staff threw in during the week made us feel very special. We will definitely be back and will definitely stay with Caracol!
