★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great apartments in Cancun. Two big bedrooms with three huge beds, parlour, two bathrooms, kitchen, free Wi-Fi, hammock, parking security and awesome backyard with pool.
It's quite far from Coco Bongo, but the bus station is in 3 minutes away.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My family really enjoyed our accommodations at Villas Tropical. Walk to the beach, grocery store is under ten minutes bus ride, restaurants within walking distance. Villas Tropical is gated with round the clock, personable security staff who are always willing to help. Clean too!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I stayed in a 4th floor apartment, rented through Air BnB. The apartments are nice and spacious. The grounds were well kept and the pool is nice and I never saw it busy. The guards at the gate are cordial. This complex desperately needs elevators. Going up and down those stairs with luggage and groceries was not fun at all. Parking is limited too.
The Villas are 3 minutes walk to the beach public access.
Tip: You can buy day access to the resorts, which includes umbrellas, chairs, lunch, etc. but it will cost $100 (yes, dollars) minimum. Or, if you go to the public area, the city of Cancun offers FREE chairs and umbrellas.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Everything was great. Lots of space. Host was very accommodating to add days to our stay. Electricity failed once... Probably to the whole area. Water supply also stops with loss of electricity...this is a problem if you depend on electricity as much as we do. We found a bucket and hauled some agua from the swimming pool. Suggestion to hosts... Maybe a box of matches would allow the gas stove to be ignited if electricity fails. Fortunately power came back on at just the right time for us to make breakfast in time for our planned day trip.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice and very affordable villas right at the heart of Cancun hotel Zone. If you want to avoid expensive hotel packages, villas tropical is a good option, available on Airbnb. Clean, large, air conditioned and with access to a pool. There is always a person at the entrance so place is secure to outsiders. There is a fully equipped kitchen and wifi. Please note that there are no breakfast services available.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place to stay, it’s not as overpriced as the accommodations near by. It’s located just 5 min from a beach, there’s also an access to a swimming pool. Only problem is an entrance gate - there’s a security guy opening and closing the doors for you. He wasn’t so friendly and when we entered and exited the area like 3 times within one hour he seemed pretty annoyed and neither responded to our ‘hello’.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great experience! They are really friendly waited for us late at night and wanted to show us the best restaurants! The one they suggested was exactly what we were looking for. Borrowed the adaptor. Big shower. Big room. It is easy to move to one Playa to another with the red buses that stops every 5 min near the apartement. It only cost 12 pesos.
