Our group did the whale shark tour and from the time we were picked up to the time we returned, everything was perfect. The weather was a little choppy but that was ok. We swam with about 5 whale sharks. The light luncheon at Isla Mujares was great, ceviche and guacamole. Will be doing this tour again.

Most definitely one of the best tours to do for explorers and adventurers. I highly recommend shopping around for this one as prices vary & I found a $55 dollar saving over what my hotel was charging and port fees ($10) were included. I used the "get your guide" app and website to find the best price, light snacks and coffee were also provided but best of all our boat crew hand prepared a fresh caught ceviche meal for us after the tour. Carlos and Eric of the 'Shishito' boat were fantastic guides providing us with informative commentary (in English and Spanish) about the whales annual migration, habitat, and the conservation sustainability program helping to protect these beautiful sharks. They helped us get within feet of the whale sharks and took great underwater GoPro footage. Go for it, create those memories of a lifetime! You will not regret it.
