★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic experience! Great fun and incredibly professional. Very fair price indeed. The instructors are very welcoming and friendly, explaining everything clearly (particularly for novices like myself). By the end of the session, I could comfortably stand on the board with the pros. Highly recommend for anyone, it’s a must.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Whether you are visiting Bacalar for just one day or longer, What SUP is a must do. Isis, Jasmine, and Gladys provided such an exceptional morning excursion that we proceeded to book a catamaran tour the following day also with What SUP (also 5 star experience).
If you have never tried SUP like myself then there is no better place to learn. The water is flat and calm, especially in the morning, and you have attentive and helpful staff right by your side. For those first-timers considering it, the initial leg of the excursion from the pier to the Black Cenote will be the toughest part as you simply get accustomed to stabilising/balancing, espeically at 6:30am and after drinking some coffee at the dock. After that first leg, it gets much easier, including getting up and down from the board. I fell in the water once, it happens to even more experienced paddlers. No judgements as everyone was friendly and helpful.
The sites you'll visit are beautiful despite the renown colors of the the lake being a bit dulled at the moment following the heavy rains last season.
You are provided with everything you need, including the obvious equipment, but also water and a light fruit snack. You can safely store your other items at the dock before going out. Importantly, the What SUP team also takes beautiful photos throughout the morning and, unlike many places in the Riviera Maya, they do not charge you at all for those photos.
I cannot say enough positive things about the day and What SUP. Stop considering the tour and just book it now. You will not regret it.
One final "thank you" to Isis, Jasmine and Gladys!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I very rarely leave a 1 star Google review, but consider this before giving your hard earned money over...
Came here excited to try stand up paddleboarding, but had a VERY unfortunate experience with Whats SUP Bacalar.
Tried to charge me 200 for 1 hour, or 700 for 3. Tries to rip off tourists.
Not only is 700 for 3 hours more per hour than renting for 1, it was the sheer attitude & talking down to me that really lead me to be upset. I approached them in Spanish of course.
Now they are trying to extort me further by claiming my experience was false. Avoid this scam and go to another vendor just down the street, which charged me 400 for 3 hours.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best prices in Bacalar. And they definitely give you the feeling that u not get scammed.
We were renting a canoe for the whole day. It was 410 Peso. On the homepage the price is 360 peso for whole day. Don't know why there is a difference. But still it's very cheap.
We made the bootstour as well for 450 peso pp. Same price as it is on the homepage. We were the only people booking this tour. We still made it as a private tour. The guide and captain were really nice. 4 drinks (water or beer) included. Every extra beer (corona) 25 peso. Banana chips as snack included.
Totally recommend what up Bacalar!
