They try to rip you off at every possible corner. Make sure to double and triple check prices, including all the details and extras, before you book. Also, trip FROM the airport is $500. A trip TO the airport $600? Not with us. Took a taxi instead. At least the money will go into the “right” hands then.

Visiting Huatulco for the first time, my wife and I and two young children decided to book 3 tours with XP… our first was the Lagoon & Turtle Release… simply an exquisite adventure! A very exciting time manoeuvring through the mangroves by paddle boat, all the wildlife to be seen was certainly a thrill, especially the crocodiles. Our guide Jamie was so knowledgable about everything, eager to answer any questions, and thoughtful to bring various foods for the wildlife so my two girls could hand feed the deer, monkeys, and parrots. What a day we had. After the mangroves, Jaime brought us to the evening turtle release on the beach, it was a very special moment for my entire family. To hand pick and release baby turtles towards the ocean at sunset, was certainly a unique and unforgettable occasion. Thank you Jaime, thank you XP Tours.

This is one of the most professional travel tour companies I have ever dealt with, these boys are very knowledgeable and accommodating. We went in several organized tours and they made our experience so enjoyable, special acknowledge to Favian, who is a very professional tour guide...

DON'T HIRE THEM, EVER!!! Awful super expensive service! Do not hire these corrupt guys! I hired through volaris-best day the airport-hotel transportation and had to argue with them to get to my hotel, wasting a lot of time. I also had hired 3 tours... Worst experience ever! Super expensive, late, tour guides are super ignorant and always take you to eat to the most expensive places where they (of course!) get free food while you have to pay $500 or more JUST TO Eat - after already having spent $1500 or more on the tour. NEVER AGAIN! they wasted 10 hours of my vacation days just to go fry under the sun in a tiny underkept boat, feed some deers and eat super expensive food.

Turtle Release and Croc Tour 5*’s + Our Guide - Fabian – Entertaining, chatty and informative. Made the drive pass quickly with his banter and detailed knowledge of his country and surrounding area, including the native species of plants and animals. His conversations were interesting, polite and engaging, and he shared his pride in Huatulco, Oaxaca where he is from, even so far as to share his personal experiences. We will look for him again. The tour itself is a must see and not to be missed. From crocodiles and Iguana’s to a variety of colourful, vocal birds throughout the walks and boat rides. The locals hosts were kind, friendly and smiled continuously. We truly enjoyed drinking straight from a fresh picked young coconut, a cold beer (Victoria Negro) was really refreshing mid tour and the fresh quesadilla made right in front of you on a fire... delicious. From the mangroves to the beachfront, crashing waves, grass huts on stilts and pelicans fishing. Before we left the area, a local was selling homemade coconut ice-cream.. so yummy.. you must try! I would would like to note: the interesting and rudimentary toilets at the parking lot were incredibly clean, and taken care of by a lady who obviously takes pride in her job! A generous piece of loo roll by donation, 10 pesos suggested, however the only issue, could be for some who don’t have good squat strength! The toilets are LOW! From there a 30 minute drive to the Turtle Sanctuary. Well monitored by the army, you need special papers to get in- this is a well protected species. We had to wait til dark and then released by hand each little turtle to the water, cheering them on as they were swept away by the waves. Such an incredible moment and privileged experience. We enjoyed this adventure so much that when we return, we want to do it again. The little island sanctuary has a little shop of local art that we were rushed past to get back to the boat and to head out for the turtles. I was sad to have missed it as I went by and will make time for this next time. Suggestion: If you get motion sickness take gravol before you go, the roads are very windy and undulating.. Also in this humid heat a hat is essential.. Thank you Fabulous Chino Fabian!
