XTUN CAVERNAS - 77782 Playa del Carmen

This was a great experience. We did the snorkeling with sea turtles and cenote tour. They have a photographer with you who takes pictures. So feel free to leave your phone in the car. I purchased a water proof case and left it on the boat during snorkeling. Honestly just dont take the phone bc idk how i would have been able to take pics while snorkeling, plus the images wouldnt be as nice as the professional ones. I also had a 6yo with me. If they have taken swim classes before i think they will be fine. Now my son has never done any water activity so he panicked and went bqck in the boarlt after 5 min. Ive never taken swim classes or anything so snorkeling was a bit hard for me as water kept going in and i had to come up for air occasionally due to my asthma. I honestly dont think my son would have been able to figure it out. They provide life vest and i stayed with the instructor on the life floatie while he pulled me ?? Now for the cenote the water was cold but it was beautiful. Super clear. I ended up taking my phone in and glad i did as the photographer only took pictures getting in and not around the tour. They again give you vest and shoes and a flashlight. It was deep as my non swimmer had to be carried throught most of the tour lol. There are some sections not too deep he was able to walk. I was able to take video and pictures in the cenote with my own phone. And glad i took it in as the photographer was also photographing another group but not sure if he went in or just outside. My son loved the cave and we would definately do it again. Snorkeling probably when he is a bit older and can figure out how to properly breath through it.

This was the most memorable excursion that I have ever had in my travels so far. This place was unbelievable and exceeded my expectations. Pepe, our ecosystem specialist and guide provided an informative adventure for us. Our photographer, Fran, captured amazing images. We booked a private tour and was even able to extend our floating time. The water was chilly but soothing. The Cenotes was absolutely magical. I highly recommend this experience.

It's a must if you are near to Tulum. I couldn't imagine to swim in a closed cave water. But it was a great exeperience. Don't miss

Lovely , amazing historical place to visit. Out of world experience . I have been to different cenote but this was totally different experience. Cannt explain in words, u gotta visit it and experience it by urself.

I came here as part of a swimming with sea turtles excursion while on a vacation to Cancun. This was such an amazing trip. The cave was so beautiful, and the water inside of it was very refreshing!

We were here as part of a tour with Ocean Tours. The lunch was fantastic, the site is extremely clean and everybody was respectful. Very educational and an experience to remember.

The Cenotes here are AMAZING!! Do yourself a favor and sign up for a tour already.

Wow wow wow what an experience. An absolute beautiful cavern. I felt like I was inside a video game. I did not take photos because I was soaking up the experience, it's something you must see for yourself. Prepare to actually SWIM through the cave. This is kid friendly but only bring kids who are well behaved! This is easily going to go down in one of my favorite experiences in life. Very fun for couples and friends to do together! If I could I would have stayed in there all day, but its a timed tour so that groups don't collide. If you want pics being water proof phone but as someone who usually loves taking pics I recomend just fully being in the moment here. They rent water shoes but you can bring your own, they are needed.
