Ziggy's - 77760 Tulum

TL;DR: skip the overpriced beach beds, prepare for amazing service, delicious food, but at tourist prices (even in the restaurant area). This is a hard place to review, honestly. Ziggy's beach or bar or whatever - the place you can sit on the beach beds - requires $35/person minimum. I think I've spent a week in Mexico for less than that. They close the beach and kick people out at 5:30. HOWEVER, we came for the beds but didn't end up sitting down there and our experience was GREAT. Our waiter was soo wonderful - I have a hurt hip and he was so kind helping me find an extra pillow to be more comfortable. The pulpo asado is the best I've ever had in my life.

Ziggy's is amazing from start to finish! There was complimentary parking available when we arrived and parking in this area can be an adventure itself. Upon entry the view is breathtaking and it only gets better from there. We were greeting warming and provided with details of the space (restroom, bar, pool table). Once we entered we noticed there was dining on the beach in the sand and inside the restaurant. The beach seating was full so we sat at at table with a view which was still unreal. The mocktails were crafted to perfection as I needed a break from drinks at that moment. What we ordered: ~Cricket Mocktail $160 pesos ~Guacamole Ziggy's with Panela Cheese and Fresh Herbs $200 pesos ~Shrimp Tacos Al Pastor $340 pesos ~Garlic Shrimp $490 pesos The service was amazing and consistent. Abraham was our waiter and he was extraordinarily polite and attentive. The food was freshly prepared and the combined flavors of the dishes were amazing. The Garlic Shrimp Entrée was my absolute favorite of all things ordered. I would highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to visiting again in the near future.

Was at Ziggy’s in 2019 when the minimum spend was only 50$ USD. Service was fantastic then. Returned to Ziggys beach club February 17, 2022 and was surprised to see that the minimum spend had increased to 70$USD. Luckily we arrived early morning (10AM) and we able to have some food and drinks through the day until we left at 4PM Food is delicious as always, beers could be a little colder though and The servers can be a little slow at times. The beach is regularly cleaned. Ive read a few negative reviews about seaweed in the water? Nobody can control that, and Ziggy’s does their best to remove the seaweed on the beach. But other than the few negatives we will be returning again in March.

The Food has been Phenomenal every time we ate there. The Short Ribs with Prehispanic sauce were amazing, the guacamole is fresh and creamy, the Angus Ribeye was cooked to perfection. For lunch the Arrachera Tacos are the perfect meal and very tender meat.

Really nice Beachclub to chill and relax the whole day. The beach there is one of the good parts regarding the seaweed situation. You can go swimming there in a turquoise water. The minimum spend is 700$ pesos per person, but if you will eat something there you will easily reach that. The service is nice but keep checking your bill. The burger was really good the rest was average. Would not recommend the juices.

One of the best beach clubs I have ever been to. 70 dollar minimum consumption and you can only order off the lunch menu which is kind of frustrating when you don’t drink alcohol, but we made it work, because this beach club was 100% worth it. The beds were comfy, the vibes were lowkey, the servers were on top of things, the view was perfect, the bathrooms are well kept and so convenient. We came here twice on our stay because we didn’t want to go anywhere else to enjoy the beach!

We had brunch at Ziggy’s and spent a chill day at the beach. There’s a minimum charge of $70 per person but that doesn’t include kids so fair enough for me. We got ourself a beautiful beach bed with front row views of the water. We got a ton of things. I started with 2 back to back cappuccinos. I ordered my girls smoothies: The Flu (drink I know ;-)), muladhara (very earthy FYI), antioxidant was delicious. We ordered guacamole for starters, Caesar salad, chicken tenders, the Ziggy burger and the mushroom tacos. Food was fresh and the burger was juicy and full of flavor. We were served by Eric that was amazing and very accommodating. We will definitely come back.

We had a lovely time in the restaurant. The food is very delicious! The service is fast and kind. The best thing was the nice ocean view, and the breeze. Not all the Tulum restaurants have beach access and we were happy to get one. The interior design is also very sweet. Price is similar to other restaurants, maybe drinks are more expensive than average. Overall, recommended for a nice dinner.
