Don't waste your time. A group went in and I wasn't allowed. Only a guided tour.

Was walked around a swampy park by a "biologist" who couldn't answer many of my basic questions about local plants and wildlife, got eaten by mosquitos, and had the pleasure of seeing some bats, three iguana, and a handful of lizards and ants. Not impressive. The pyramids are nice but not worth it.

This is a very small little place to visit while you're on vacation in Huatulco. It was about a little over a mile away from the resort we were staying at. It was very hot that day. Pay attention to the signs that point because you can get lost and make sure that your wearing mosquito spray on and keep it with you at all times because you will sweat it off! The only reason I gave it 3 stars was because of the size of the place and the signs were confusing. But have fun

A beautiful museum and archeological site. Stunning views of the ocean and opportunities for wildlife viewing. A great place to walk and learn about the history and ecology of the area. Very easy to take a taxi there.

This is great archeological site and well worth the visit. We were here in September which low season and practically the only ones here. Dates to 800 BC/BCE which was Zapotec then became Mixtec. The artifacts in the museum are incredible. Recommend you hire an authorized tour guide for approx 350 MXN. Our tour took a little over two hours and included explanations of flor and fauna too. Take the time to visit when in the area.

Great place if you are there at the right time. You are only allowed in with a guide that only speaks Spanish. The cost is free but people are encouraged to donate $600 pp to their foundation. The two hour tours start at 200 pm A volunteer by the name of Alberto translated the tour and he made it wonderful. He is available Tuesday, Wednesday , Friday and Saturday for the 2 pm tour. Fantastic historical tour ending with breath taking views of the Pacific. Our taxi from La Crucita was $75 there and $150 return. The guide called the taxi for us. Bring bug spray, water and your mask.

DISAPPOINTED. Dec.-2021 Operated by third party charity organization, they want 600 pesos p.p. You must go with a guide, 9:30 - 11:30 - 1: 30 only. Museum is CLOSED, and I believe has been for some time. If you're going to see the archeological site, you can only view them from one angle at a long distance and partially obstructed by trees. If you you're going to learn about the site, the tour is only in Spanish, staff does not speak English. I enjoyed seeing the few un-restored buildings and I can speak Spanish. The view of the beach from the cliff top is good. For her 600 pesos my wife didn't really get anything. A few other group we saw, decided not to do tour, and just left. Site is being neglected and could be much better? Hope this helps.
