First off the staff was great! Very friendly. Now for the negative. We were put in a room where A/C didn’t work. After calling front desk twice to send maintenance, they changed our rooms since maintenance never came to fix it. Well the room we get moved into also doesn’t seem to have working A/C. Our friends on next floors a/c worked so it wasn’t as a whole. Avoid room 517 and 1023. We called again to see if air filter could be changed and they said they would, however never did. The second Room stayed at 76 degrees which isn’t great for sleeping.

FOOD IS NOT INCLUDED like their website states, only drinks and continental breakfast. I gave good review because of Gustavo! He's the best. Bartenders are great too. Clean hotel, but advertise all inclusive. Very misleading...very!!

I had stayed here 4 years ago while in Cancun for a conference. I remembered it as being pretty typical for an Aloft - slightly trendy and modern, not luxurious but comfortable. Either I'm remembering it wrong, or things have really gone downhill in the meantime. Firstly, the whole hotel and particularly my room just smelled moldy. I understand being close to the ocean and the humidity, but this was like no property I've ever been in before. Plus the room had a smell of cigarettes that they had tried to get rid of, but which was still lingering. The rooms are absolutely bare bones - no style, no imagination, no furnishings. Just a bed, dresser, and a shelf bolted to the wall which serves as a 'desk'. Oh, and my deal-breaker - no coffeemaker in the room. Really? How this can be a Marriott property I have no idea. The whole place is just tired and depressing. I was glad to only be here for one night - I feel sorry for anyone who booked this for a vacation and had to tolerate it for a longer stay. It would be soooo depressing. Skip the breakfast in the lobby - just continental and the lowest quality ingredients. The one saving grace is that they took COVID precautions very seriously, and the location is pretty great. So an extra star for that.

This was a rather disappointing experience. First, it's way below Marriott standards, we expected some decency from this place. I don't remember last time I had such bad experience with a reasonably priced hotel. It's not nearly 4 stars, solid 3 stars and even there could be better, looks more like a hostel. Pictures are highly photoshoped. Staff is barely welcoming and didn't tell us anything about the hotel at the reception, just handed two Covid papers to sign. No one understood English if anything nonstandard was needed, like hot breakfast for example, or English breakfast tea (which wasn't in the breakfast basket), seriously for tourist area (?!) Driving to parking is really hard as the space is tight and requires sudden 90 and 180 degree turns. The views from the top are very nice. Rooms are old, poorly lit, with bad sound isolation, and lazily cleaned. The bed sheets were nice and clean. Breakfast is cold, it's your usual sandwich and jam continental breakfast.

For the price not worth it. The bad: -Rooms were run down, furniture needed replacing. -Lagoon view? What a joke… the view is an old concrete building. (Sure if you stand right out at the window and look to the right you can see a tiny bit of the lagoon) -Unfriendly doorman.. (come on that’s your first line, he should be much better) The good: -Great location to access all of the hotel zone. -Very comfortable beds. -Clean linens -Open bar in the lobby (not sure if all packages have this) -Very friendly front desk 5 stars for front desk and beds. The rest meh…

So when my guest and I first arrived, we felt that there was hardly any information given to us, we literally had to ask them everything. There's a woman here, Silvia, she is a housekeeper, she is absolutely amazing... we were concerned about having any Togo food because of the no fridge situation, but she cleaned our room today after being here for a few days and she randomly brought us a little fridge since she saw we had some drinks and food and that was totally awesome. Some of the workers here definitely have some amazing service, but it is not extended to every individual. I honestly wouldn't stay here again, I felt that there were more cons than pros. We got to use the pool about twice and then it was closed for the rest of our stay, they did offer us free cover to Mandalay Beach, but their drinks are hella expensive over there. Our TV didn't work either. The location of this hotel is honestly pretty perfect though, walking distance to a lot. But not worth the stay.

Don't forget to use HotelBolly.ᴄᴏᴍ when booking a place. They compare hundreds of booking websites and usually will have rates much cheaper than others! Thank me later! This place is the best rated in this area. I have been staying here for a long time. If you decide to stay here you for sure will love it I'm sure! It has a nice rooftop pool and open till 11:00 pm. It is in the perfect location, walking distance from all of the spots Coco Bongo,Congo bar,Mandala Beach club, etc..I highly recommend this hotel.

Great place to stay at during a visit to Cancun. Located perfectly at the busiest part of the Hotel Zone and within walkable distance of many local restaurants, bars, clubs and more. Easy to get in and out of if you have a car and has ample parking on the upper levels of the building. No access to the beach or fancy interiors but you do have a nice bar in the lobby and a rooftop pool to enjoy. Plan to stay here if you’re intending to make full use of the surrounding tourist spots.
