Ruben was awesome. Funny and informative at the same time. Kept everyone on schedule while giving everyone enough time to enjoy. The guide at Chichenitza was great too. The trip to the Mayan place was awesome and the food was delicious. It did pain me when one of the other passenger (not from our family)broke something precious and flat out denied any responsibility. We need to be more empathetic of the local people and culture. My daughters and I had a great time on this tour! It was a long day leaving from Cancun very early in the morning, however well worth it. Super Frank was our bus guide, providing interesting information and history during the drive. Thank you to Afredo the driver for a comfortable ride, even able to nap a bit on the drive. And then our gratitude to Rodrigo the tour guide made we laugh, wonder, ask more and helped our group take great photos for memories. I highly recommend!

Today I can't began to describe what I felt that day and how my husband and I were treated. We were promised a English tour guide but the lady spoke what seemed to be scripted and limited English if she spoke to us at all! We were left without directions for our first tour police had to tell us where to go. We were in line waiting to go in the museum when we were stopped and embarrassed in front of people waiting in line, we were told we had to pay to come in because someone took our place in line. The tour guide did not keep count of the group or people in line , she told me to pay to go in the museum and I told her I wasn't going to pay since I already paid for the tour. The tour continued and she still spoke Spanish and ignored the English speaking people as much as possible. She explained everything in Spanish even when being addressed in English. We were left ALL THROUGH OUT the tour with no translation. Finally we were kicked off of the bus in front of everyone and given random directions to go across traffic and up the street and left and right etc to get back to our drop off pick up point . When I confronted them I was forcefully told no and traffic was the reason why they didn't drop us off. I told her that I was a tourist and I didn't know where I was and the passengers agreed that we should be dropped AT OUR AGREED DESIGNATED PICK UP DROP-OFF POINT they didn't NOT CARE!! They would not move the bus until we exited!! We were lost of course,For over an hr in downtown Mexico City!!! A police officer had to helped us. We also couldn't use the bathroom on the bus the driver said he had to start the bus back up to let my husband use the bathroom. Also my husband and I were the only person for this pickup and drop off point. They felt no need to drop us off no integrity!! No regards to our safety or business ethics. The embarrassment and second hand treatment was unbearable to say the least. If you want to be humiliated and stranded on the side of the road because of TRAFFIC then this is the tour for you and your family And yes we reached out to you (AMIGO TOURS) you have yet to reply to the booking number we sent in email.

Jorge was my tour guide in New York, he was very knowledgeable about everything! He was really nice & kept us engaged. What an amazing tour & photo opportunities. Would recommend to any & every one!

Vincente was an amazing guide to my trip to Chichén Itza. He was very knowledgeable and explained us the most astonishing Mayan history. We started off at the hotel around 6 in the morning and were taken to plaza for Mayan collection and buffet. Then we visited the amazing Chichén Itzá and finally had a refreshing swim in the Saamal Cenote. Also, our trip included tequila tasting as well which is good if you would like to taste and get some tequila back. Not to forget our driver Pedro who took us to places in time. Rated high on Trip Advisor for a reason. This was a great excursion. Marco and Filipe were amazing guides! We did this excursion on the second day of our trip in Cancun. Booking was easy on Trip Advisor. We chose the option to have them pick us up at our hotel. Being tourists and the meet-up time at 6 am, we did not want to meet up in an unfamiliar location. The day before our trip, they emailed us our confirmation for pick-up. The van arrived on time at 6:25 am with one couple already in the van and we went to pick up another who did not show up. Our van shuttle took us to a bigger bus where we met the rest of the group. There is a preservation tax of ~ $30 USD per person that is preferred to be paid by card before boarding the bus. We board the bus and off we go. We travel for about 1.5 hours before Marco (our tour guide) gets up and starts letting us know how the day is going to go (Valladolid, Chichén Itza, Cenote swim) and also that we crossed into Yucatan Peninsula and gained an hour. He then starts to give a very detailed history of l Chicken Itza and tells us about all the people in this area. We stop to see Valladolid a traditional town in Mexico for about 15 min before heading off to lunch. When we arrive at lunch (about a 15 min bus ride) we were greeted by the Mayan people who hosted the groups for lunch. We do a little shopping in this their store (they accept card) and then we're off to lunch next door. Lunch was some pork tacos and some sides. The food was decent. We board the bus and off to Chichen Itza. This place is a historical landmark and Marco knew a great deal of the history. He knew where to take us to get some of the best photos too. After about 2 hours we board the bus and off to the cenote. Once here Marco explains we will need to buy a life vest (required) and a locker (optional). The cenote is an amazing experience, it's cold at first and then you'll get used to it. There are places for you to jump off or ease your way in with stairs. It's about 150 ft deep so if you can't swim stay near the doc. Marco had the "lifeguard" give us a warning so we could change and get back to our bus to get back to Cancun before dark. The bus dropped us off at the bottom of our resort to save time stopping at 10+ resorts. Would recommend. Don't book anything else on this day. You will be gone all day. Bring snacks too, it can be a long day.

I booked a tour through Expedia and had the pleasure of learning from Ruben, accompanied by Freddy. Yes, you have to pay an additional charge for the Chichen Itza tax (which was explained when you selected the trip type) which was a few dollars more then if you got the tickets on the premises. At the end of the day you’re paying for the experience and safety of local led group travel. Unfortunately some of the stops were limited to approximately 25 min, but In hindsight after a 12 hour journey through the Yucatán I can understand why. Overall I valued my time and I’m happy that I did it!
