Artes Bed & Breakfast - 48350 Puerto Vallarta

3.8/5 based on 4 reviews

If you don’t know what you want from a hostel, how can you expect to choose the right one for your stay? Before looking for accommodation, you should make a quick list of the things you need to have a good night and a pleasant and comfortable stay during the day.

Is there a shared breakfast or kitchen? Do you feel more comfortable in a smaller, more intimate property with a staff that will learn your name, or are you looking to be less involved with the hostel environment? Are you willing to search and pay for something more comfortable? What kind of atmosphere do you like: crazy, modern, classic, cool or wild? Think about what you want in terms of price, quality, comfort and basic services of the hostel and, of course, its location.

From there, it can be extended to things like the history of the hostel, environmental practices, the personality of a place, like the party atmosphere, being romantic or just socializing with other people from around the world. Once you have a good understanding of what you are looking for, for example, you can also check specialized sites to get reviews from other backpackers who have had your experience and will be able to help you choose the best hostel for your stay.

Es un engaño el lugar como tal no existe, hicimos reservación por expedia y es una mentira, los hombres que estaban ahí según no nos dijeron que a varias personas las han estafado haciendo reservas por diferentes portales
It is a hoax, the place as such does not exist, we made a reservation through Expedia and it is a lie, the men who were there did not tell us that several people have been scammed by making reservations through different portals

I was in town on a work trip and had an absolutely fantastic experience at Artes. John and Sandy were extremely accommodating and gracious hosts. The weekend was such an authentic experience and felt like a much more immersive experience than you can receive at a standard beach resort. Meals and accommodations were incredible and the view of the bay from Artes cannot be beat. it was very enjoyable to be able to sit down and share meals with the hosts and their assistants with family style dining and they are truly unique, interesting and enjoyable company. The spa services on site were amazing and relaxing and I left the B&B refreshed and with excellent memories. Worth the trip of the beachfront and onto the hills for an experience that cannot be beat.

I have stayed at Artes several times - both as an individual and couple - and I highly recommend it as a first rate and relaxing place to visit. The location is quiet and has a view over the bay that is one of the best in the area. Sunsets are breathtaking! The facilities and grounds are gorgeous, with large rooms, private bathrooms, an infinity pool, float tanks, and other spa services. The meals and snacks are delicious and all prepared onsite, including homemade baked goods. You dine with the hosts, John and Sandy, who are interesting and knowledgeable and fun to talk with. On occasion there have even been live musicians who came by! This is a great and relaxing place for a retreat or meeting for a small business team or family.
