Bahía de Cacaluta - Bahia de Cacaluta

We booked a snorkeling guide and lunch here (900 pesos per person, bring your own or rented snorkeling equipment), and enjoyed everything about it. The day started with a 2,5km walk through the jungle (bring repellent), while the guide explained a lot about the flora and fauna. By the end you notice how you're getting closer to the beach as the ground turns more sandy and the sound of the waves gets stronger. At the beach we had a beer and then changed into our swimming gear and followed the guide into the water for an hour or so of snorkeling. We saw tons of fishes in the most beautiful colors, a sea turtle, a manta ray and lobsters. It was so amazing! Back at the beach the guide's brother was grilling a fresh fish on the barbecue. Especially the salsa from smoked tomatoes blew our minds but the rest was super delicious as well. We chilled some more with a few beers in the hammocks, before walking back to the car.
