Bistro 223 - 77500 Cancún

Food was great but I'd finished mine before my friends had received their dishes. The charming owner said he would be slow because he was on his own. No worries but if you can't serve a table of four at the same time with no one else in the bistro it may be time to try a new approach. Great food let down by a poor dining experience. Sorry, I really wanted to love this wee independent place, but I can't .

This place is a must visit in Cancún, frequented by expats, locals, and tourists alike. This cozy café on Bonampak Avenue became a third place for me, or a home away from home and for many others. A place where you can just sit and enjoy with others, or work on your laptop. Yacoub’s café features all the characteristics of a third place, it is neutral ground, nobody needs to be there, but we want to be there. Late night conversations is the main activity whether it is over traditional tea, or smoking hookahs and cigarettes. This cafe is very wholesome and is very approachable, it feels like a home away from home. I truly feel that when I am here it is an extension of my own home, it is in essence a part of my home. The food is always cooked to order and made with fresh and high quality ingredients. The owners Yacoub and Gabby are the sweetest and most helpful people around. They both speak very good English and can help with things not even related to the restaurant. You can expect to have an excellent experience and meal here.

Cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. The food was excellent and the service very good. Visiting from the USA, Jacob took lots of time to explain all of the items on their menu and made suggestions that were all very tasty! The staff were engaging and helpful to the extent of offering tourist information and a medical reference that was necessary during our stay. We returned numerous times during our vacation and sampled many of the items on the menu and all were great. Would certainly come again if we return to Cancun in future.

Fantastic lunch which the owner very kindly prepared for me as I was missing some traditional food from home! I ordered it the day before and today what a feast I enjoyed. Big thank you to team at Bistro 223!

If I could give 6 stars I would. I walked in and didn't know what I wanted. The owner (not sure of her name) took her time and helped me pick a dish. The Sharwarma de Pollo was amazing !! The food was fresh and tasted great. I couldn't finish it and they boxed it for me to go. I then asked grabbed a cappuccino to go. But they owners were so nice I ended up just talking to them until I finished. I explained I was departing the next morning so unfortunately I couldn't return and he helped me find transportation ? When I return to Cancùn I will definitely stop by Bistro 223 again.

This time I gives 5 stars without any questions. Really Lebanon flavour.Small place,clean and cosy.Owner cooking himself.Nice to talk. Some dishes out from menu you can preorder. Highly recommended.

This is the best restaurant we have been to in Cancun. Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious made to order. The owners are so friendly and make you feel like family. My 5 year old sat still and ate all her food because it was so tasty. We will definitely come back whenever we are in Cancun. Amazing all around

Low key spot, the best place in Cancun to get a healthy and delicious meal for a decent price. Very diverse menu with a lot of offerings. The owners are great and helpful people as well. Open pretty late sometimes too.
