What a great place! I'm glad they have created a place to save animals. When we were at the dry cenote we got to see some spider monkeys!!!

Horseback riding at this location was such an amazing experience. First, the transportation from my hotel room was timely and both drivers were extremely pleasant. When we arrived we were greeted by a tour guide and he offered us water and bug spray. I have never rode a horse before and the instructors were so patient throughout the learning process. The tour was fun and my horse was so well trained. Halfway throughout the tour we stopped and they provided us water and organic gum. At the end of the tour, my friends did the cenote swim. My friends said that it was rushed but I didn’t do it. Overall, i will highly recommend this place to anyone who is traveling to Cancun.

If u come to Mexico...do NOT miss out on this amazing experience. This wonderful ranch isn't just a ranch, it's an animal rescue sanctuary. Absolutely beautiful, and the animals are all treated wonderfully

This was my favorite excursion while staying at the El Dorado Royale resort near the Bonanza Ranch. The horses are rescues and are very well-kept and trained. I have some riding experience, but not an expert. My horse, Chili, was very responsive to the rein directions and requests to go forward, stop, and to move away from nibbling on plants. It felt really nice to be back on horseback and the guides did an excellent job of maintaining the order and safety of the group, and with showing us the sights in the jungle and including local history, legend, and folklore as well as information about the trees and wildlife. We saw several spider monkeys along the trail. Tony, Xavier, and José were wonderful guides, and I really appreciated the photos as I did this excursion solo and did not get any photos on my own. I 100% recommend visiting Bonanza Ranch. Also, don't forget to bring a swimsuit for a swim in the cenote. I didn't realize it was part of the package and missed out on that part, but the cenotes are wonderful for swimming and so refreshing so definitely bring a swimsuit and change of clothes (there are lockers). I absolutely loved my time at Bonanza Ranch! A+ highly recommend ?

Very nice people and place. Good way to spend the morning! Make sure to tip at the very end. They all share tips. I think we were the only ones to tip....but our small group was mostly Europeans. Still, it made me feel bad for these people who get up so early and work so hard so we can chill out. A couple bucks is not gonna break the bank, people!

Amazing staff, and the horses were great! Noah met us to get checked in and provided some insect repellent for us. Trust me, use the insect repellent! On our short walk to the stable, Noah provided interesting tales and facts about Mayan culture and some of the flora important for their way of life. When we arrive, some staff was exercising the horses to get them warmed up and ready for our trail ride. We got our lockers situated, signed some waivers, and Jose took our picture with Michael Jackson, a very cute burro. Noah gave us very clear instructions on how to handle the horses, and all the staff made sure we were all comfortable on our horses before heading out on the trail. This trail is for all levels, but it is definitely beginner-friendly. If you are looking for a beach gallop, this is not the tour for you. But a nice, relaxing walk in the jungle, followed by a dip in a cenote was just what we were looking for! I rode Rosita, and my husband rode the lazy Macarena. It was fun to get to know our horses during the ride! We saw lots of fruit trees on our trail and heard spider monkeys calling to each other. We dismounted, and Noah gave us a quick lesson on the Mayan invention of chewing gum. He provided some samples and told us more stories from Mayan legends. We hopped back on and headed back to the barn for a quick snack. I would recommend arriving with your swimsuit on, only because it's more convenient than having to change into it. Towels were provided, and we were able to taste test some honey provided by native bees. We purchased the $40USD photo package, as it was much easier than having to concern ourselves with our phones, and it was much easier to concentrate on our horses without having to worry about taking pictures. All the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, and they helped us with our Spanish!

Being a horse lover, I always wanna go horseback riding when I am in another country. Well, it was our fourth time in Mexico and our second time we went to the Bonanza Ranch. My wife is afraid of horses and never rode a horse before. I told her that the guides are amazing. Well, afterwards she was happy that she listened. The guides are really kind and helpful and real charros. They sure know their horses. You never rode a horse before?? No problem, those guys take good care of you. The ride itself is amazing. Straight in the jungle. Lots of explaining the nature. When you return to the ranch you can swim in a cenote. Loved it. Guys , thank you. You can’t visit Mexico without riding a horse. The experience is breathtaking

Very fun experience! Noah was our tour guide. He was very good at storytelling and very informative. He also loves The Mars Volta. All the horses are rescues, so that part is cool too. I think was very well worth it. Thank you for the awesome tour and experience!
