 The agent refused to provide a receipt for the money he demanded be paid. Very arrogant and refused to stamp the passport to leave the country.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Al salir de la zona libre de Belice (o del propio Belice), hay que parar para revisión. Sin mayor problema, puedes salir para inspección o no. Rápido y sencillo.
When leaving the Belize Free Zone (or Belize itself), you have to stop for review. Without major problem, you can go out for inspection or not. Fast and easy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ BEWARE!!! Horrible experience. Print out a copy of the receipt for the immigration paperwork otherwise they will force you to pay $30 USD per person to get your passport back. They hold your passport hostage while the bus driver tries to rush you. The bus drivers actually work with these people to rip tourists off. The bus driver left me while I was talking to them while my wife is still on the bus and I ended up being stuck there for over an hour trying to get to the Belize border. You do not need to pay to leave Mexico!
