Casa Azul Profundo - 48294 Mismaloya

Just stayed for one week. The staff should get a 5 star rating. They were excellent, attentive and caring in all they did. The setting/view also should get a 5 star rating. What drags everything down to a 3 star rating is the condition of the property. It needs a major overhaul: painting, plumbing, a/c, fixtures, finishes, furniture. It doesn't look like any $$ has been put into upgrading the property for many many years. Do not go with any high expectations other than the staff and view. Ownership could expect to get more rent than what they currently get if only they would put more money back into the property.

This place is awesome. The house is amazing, the food is awesome and the staff is even more amazing. We just wrapped up our second trip and there is not one complaint I could think of. Thanks to all the staff for making this one to remember!

This was one of the best vacations I've ever been on. The service was impeccable, the staff was incredible, and if I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Special thanks to Roger and Aaron, who accommodated any request that we had & made every day special for our group. We can't say enough good things!

Amazing hotel, location and staff. The picturesque views were matched only by the superb service making sure drinks, meals, activity arrangement and all else was taken care of and on point. Everything was clean and no one ever felt unsafe. I strongly recommend Casa Azul Profundo.

The villa is very nice overlooking the ocean. We had a wonderful family celebration with twenty people ranging in age from three and half to eighty. The staff was excellent and hard working. They provided whatever we needed for the week. The only negative points were that we did not like the stone stairs to climb two levels and some of the areas were not cleaned properly.

Casa Azul Profundo is not just a place...it is an experience. I celebrated my 50th birthday along with 19 family and friends here. The villa was absolutely amazing. The view was awesome and the staff was personable and accommodating. I asked several questions from the time of booking until our arrival and received patient and kind responses each time from Fernanda. Once arriving at the villa, the staff (led by Roger) ensured the villa was clean, our meals were delicious and the drinks were flowing. Roger ensured we were able to book excursions and travel (tequila tasting, night club, casino, boat tour, boardwalk, flea markets. etc) as well as in house massages.. Our party of 20 people was from age 20 to 75 and each and every person had the most enjoyable time. The villa itself could use a bit of updating and touch up. We did have an issue with hot water but Roger was on it to ensure our stay was still a good one. My sincerest thanks and appreciation to the entire Casa Azul Profundo team!!!!!

After a scenic accessible ride from PVR, you walk down a couple flights of stairs to amazing open air living areas, complete with lounges, dining area, kitchen, and pool. The 4-person staff had excellent communication and accommodated our every needs. Charlie whipped up fantastic breakfasts and dinners while Eduardo kept our glasses full with delicious libations. Cesar coordinated activities and transportation when we want to hike, kayak, ATV, or head into town. Itzel made sure everyone returns to a cleaned room, where the crashing ocean waves provide natural white noise at the end of the day.

Our group of 16 had an amazing week at Casa Azul Profundo II in January. 1. Planning the trip was incredibly easy with Fernanda via email and phone calls, ensuring the property would be a good fit for our group 2. The staff during the stay were wonderful, and the highlight of the trip. Cesar our concierge helped us plan activities, stay on top of invoices for meals, and ensured special needs guests had what they needed during the stay. Charlie the chef cooked us amazing meals every day, and Edwardo makes some of the best drinks we've ever had. Itzel, the maid some how cleaned every room every day without any interruptions. 3. The location of this villa is perfect. A quick drive from downtown, but remote with full ocean views and los arcos. we saw multiple whales breaching from the villa during dinner time, and while we were out on a fishing and snorkeling trip. You can easily walk up and down to Mismaloya beach multiple times a day. 4. The property is wonderful, where all rooms have lots of privacy. there are a few maintenance items the team is currently working on, or is aware of - which will make this property top notch. We will be back!
