★ ★ ★ ★ ★ No doubt a beautiful house.
However, the fees are outrageous, compared to…well, any other museum in the world (£40 in total) ?♂️
$500 entrance fee for foreigners and a $500 fee to be allowed to take photographs (which, as it turned out, was pointless to obtain as everyone took photos anyway and the guides didn’t care?).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful architecture, horrendous booking system. This 1 star review is just for how bad the website is and how difficult and nonsensical it is to be able to only buy one ticket. Do better, for the sake of Luis Barragan.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent tours limited to 10 visitors. Note that you must book a timed tour in advance on the website, but they offer tours in both Spanish and English which is great.
Keeping the groups to a small size makes it very intimate and special. Since this was a residence, it was never meant for crowds, and so this strategy is appropriate and respectful.
Photography inside is permitted for a small fee.
There is a gift shop with some excellent book selections and an open-to-the-public (no ticket required) garden across the street.
This was one of my favorite experiences in CDMX.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unlike most museums in Mexico, this one sells out weeks to months in advance. I’m guessing tour groups for foreigners buy all the tickets and they don’t leave them for ordinary tourists, and there’s probably some corrupt deal between the tour groups and the ticket office. Really disappointing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great tour! Very inspiring and amazing emotions in every room. Plan ahead so you can get tickets as they run out fast and groups are small. If you’re taking photographs, the photos permits are 500 pesos.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An educational, informative and entertaining visit to a remarkable studio and residence. The guided tour is limited to 6 people or less so you can ask all the questions you desire. Highly informative guide who is anxious to please and share info.
Big recommendation...make your reservations in advance, they sell out very fast. Tickets for each following week are released on their site every Tuesday at 4:30pm local time.
I.thoroughly enjoyed my visit!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The house is beautiful, it would be better to be able to go through the house alone since the guided tour interferes with the experience more that it enriches it.
The price is out of proportion, a single entry for nationals ($338) is almost worth a two-day minimum salary in Mexico, and is close to the price of the Louvre (€17=$397), this without the photography permission which is $500 (=€21) for a total of $897 (€38) a visit… outrageous

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Don’t understand the bad reviews that are on here - do note advanced booking is required as stated on the website and new tickets are released on Tuesdays 4PM Mexico time. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and even though our group had lots of questions and the tour overran a little, he took the time to explain everything. The insights into Barragan’s life and his style were interesting. If you like architecture, I highly recommend this museum.
