Casa Punta Coco (Adults Only) - 77310 Holbox

Trying to contact regarding end of year reservations for weeks. Can’t get anyone from the hotel to return phone calls or emails. Is this place still in business or did they just take our money?

SO UNPROFESSIONAL! They canceled our reservation supposedly because they have a problem with the paiement! They never try to contact us as a professional will do! Unfortunately for them I worked 10 years as receptionist in several hotel and I never proceeded like this when some guests have had problems with their credit card! I'm waiting explication from them!

Run away from this place !! I do not understand how they dare to call themselves a hotel in view of the many opinions concerning them! they canceled my reservation and they are not responding to ANY of my messages! They do not answer the phone or on social media ! They are just THIEVES who cancel reservations and do not refund! it's a shame, we worked to give ourselves these vacations they are scammers! do not book with them !!!

Just like several others have mentioned here, they cancelled our reservation 6 days prior to check-in. They will not answer the phone or respond to messages. Not easy to find a new place to stay. They ruined our vacation.

Made a reservation online, never received a confirmation. tried several emails and calls, no way of contacting the hotel. very unprofessional!

Such a wonderful and quiet experience in Casa Punta Coco... Excellent service, food, attention... Location is far from noisy Holbox... Only iguanes are your guests... Easy to go to Punta Coco playa walking on the beach and reaching savage place... The view is incredible... Rooms are super comfortable... Only wi fi could be better... But for the rest 100% best place on the island!! Special thanks to Patricia for all her attention!

We booked Casa Punta Coco the day of because our reservation from another hotel ran into some issues. As we were in a rush to find an accommodation, I booked Punta Coco and to be honest, the reviews worried me as there were mentions of the hotel cancelling reservations and the lack of hospitality service there is. Upon arrival at Casa Punta Coco, we were greeted by very lovely staff members and we ended up upgrading our room to the master suite. They also gave us probably the best complimentary cocktail I've had on the island. From there on, Casa Punta Coco had become the highlight of our trip. Before arrival, we stayed at BE Tulum in Tulum, JW Marriott in Mexico City and then Casa Punta Coco. The staff at Punta Coco were all very polite, helpful with our itinerary, and had very vibrant energy. The experience of watching the chef cook for you in the kitchen was great. They whipped up some fantastic meals and again, was probably the best meal I've had on the island. The location is further away from downtown but it didn't bother us as we didn't mind staying-in at the hotel for most of our day. We hired a driver to be on stand-by in case we wanted to head out and that was helpful. Calling a Taxi is no problem either. We highly recommend Casa Punta Coco to our friends visiting the island and we also have a reservation booked for 2023. Keep up the great work Casa Punta Coco!

We spent five nights in Casa Punto Coco and it was a great experience. 4/5 is harsh, but it's not yet 5/5. We were quite uncertain when we saw the most recent negative reviews - seems as there was a change in ownership and a mixup in the prices on various booking platforms which led to cancellations - and negative reviews. We also had some issues getting into contact with the hotel - but the phone number on Instagram worked perfectly fine. It's better if you speak Spanish as not all staff is fluent in English. Once we arrived at the Hotel, it was an amazing stay. It seems that the hotel was a (rather large) private home which has been transformed to a hotel. The architecture is well thought out and it really looks like there has been a lot of thought building the house. The lobby / entrance / living area also contains an open kitchen, where all the dishes are prepared by the chef. Whatever comes out of the kitchen is really good, the best food we had on the island. The dinner menu changes everyday and there are a lot of snacks to choose from. It always takes a while because everything is made to order. But you shouldn't be in a hurry anyways on the island. Staff usually leaves between 8 and 10 pm, so if you want a drink or a bottle of wine after a long day, you should pre-order. Pool and access to the sea are perfect as well, the beach is kinda private and has lots of different opportunities to relax. The room was very nice indeed - only thing to criticize is the door, which wasn't really soundproof. So in the morning you could hear other guests and staff preparing for the day. After all, the stay was really good and we were happy that we choose to stay in this hotel. We'd go back for sure, as we also liked this part of the island. The beach isn't as breathtaking as it is in the northern part, but it's much calmer and laid back. Small criticisms and why it's not a 5/5: - communication with the hotel was difficult as website is not up to date and response not always fast - if this is fixed, it's a 5/5 for me. Other points are negligible. - internet is fast, but has high latency (satellite) which could be improved (another hotel on the island managed same speed with significantly lower latency) - doors could be better soundproofed
