Cetli - 77760 Tulum

Hands down the best dining experience we had in our 9 day excursion across Tulum, Cozumel, and Playa del Carmen. And I tried to hit as many highly rates restaurants as possible (rented a car) The special stuffed pepper is mindblowing in the mix of flavor profiles - a must. The mole sauce here was also without comparison, literally ruined it for us going elsewhere; we just wish they could rise the level of Cetli’s. Free bread plate also had amazing cheese and the dried grasshopper flakes were very tasty as well. Salad was also delicious with the toasted almonds. We ordered the bread pudding, the waiter’s favorite and it did not disappoint; we just we had more room left in our tummies to finish it. Margaritas with the tajín rims were also bomb. Was not crowded at all when we went (low season and early dinner). Decor and surrounding is also very unique - clearly a cute house and yard converted to a restaurant.

Amazing restaurant! The service was lovely and attentive. Their stuffed pepper was the best I have ever had.. and I’ve tried many around Mexico and America. We loved it so much - went back the next day for breakfast!!!

The service here is just from another world. Lalo is incredible. The food is perfect we came back 4 times because there is no comparison. If you like REAL mexican cuisine and like to surprise your bud tastes then this is the place for you.

Some of our favorites: Beef & pork stuffed pepper (our favorite dish of the evening), chicken enchiladas, black mole and the cetli corn cake for dessert. Absolutely recommend this restaurant for dinner. It’s quaint and charming and the food is excellent.

One of the most flawless dining experiences I’ve ever been so lucky to be a part of. Phenomenal service from start to finish. Slow paced meal is perfect after a packed day in the Tulum sun. Extraordinary moles and appetizers and a well priced artisanal gift shop to boot. We’re going back tomorrow.

A wonderful place to have unique food! It is a bit of drive from the city but be assured you will be at a small restaurant with nice decoration! I tried the house speciaity, beef with pomegranate seeds, walnuts and bell peppers! The starter was great ! The bill came in small cute envelope and I also got a magnet!

Best food we had here! Amazing and unique flavour and great ambiance. Every little detail from the plates to the cloth napkin were made with care. You can feel that the food is hearty and authentic. (It is the kind of food that you will remember and dream about when the trip is over). The kitchen is also open space so you can see them cooking which is always a plus. The drinks were amazing too. The service was also excellent. Only complain is that they only take cash.
