I think it is one of the biggest supermarkets in town, it has all you need including phone sims. The parking does look a bit sketchy so I would recommend parking as close to the entrance as you can.

One of the worst experiences ever in a grocery store for numerous reasons : extremely crowded and high prices sometimes exceeding EU and US standards, without mentioning the complete chaos on the checkouts. We literally spent more than 1 hour queuing on the checkout. When it was finally our turn we were kindly inform that our queue was being closed, leaving us and other people queuing to stand in another 1 hour queue as people in adjacent queues refuse to let you pass. So you better have the odds in your favour when choosing your queue at Chedraui “casino” like checkouts.

Think Walmart - as someone traveling abroad and living in the area for a few months, let me give you some tips if you’re forced to shop and stock up here: + produce is fresh and very beautiful +/- they have ranch and other basic condiments but be weary of the staleness and price, we picked up mochi and it was extremely stale, the product went bad and they didn’t remove it from the shelf + seafood options are huge, so is the meat selection but go early because a lot of items seem to sell out fast - it gets crazy busy with lines that snake through the store and aisles, expect to wait in the check out line a minimum of 15 minutes. The longest I’ve waited is 45 minutes (weekends we found are the worse) -DO NOT ORDER ONLINE, I repeat, DO NOT ORDER ONLINE. The groceries came defrosted, missing random items that they didn’t do reimbursements for, and the quantities are waaaaaaaay off. They will claim they delivered all your items when they don’t, just as a heads up if you still insist on trying online you can only check out with PayPal (you can’t enter your US billing address online but in store they’ll take your CC & cash) + the bakery is delicious - conchitas are definitely legit but the orejas don’t taste right, not sure why but wouldn’t recommend them…Go earlier than later to get the freshest selection of pastries. If you’re not working on stocking up, it’s best to avoid this store, but if you’d like a one stop shop, this is your best option since they also have plenty of items like souvenirs, shirts, bathing suits, water shoes, medicine, and your grocery needs. If you like to shop a little at a time there are a lot of great super deli spots off of Aldea Zama that I encourage more over this spot if you could avoid it.

I stopped here to get pesos and the fees are better at these ATMs then practically anywhere in Tulum other than the Scotiabank. Me and my gf would come everyday to grab a few pastries and snacks for our trips. We always only had a few items so going through the express line was always quick. The selection is great but you can find most items especially trinkets and items tourist would use for MUCH better prices on the strip

I got my bag, with all my belongings and my passport inside, stolen —professional thieves working in a group following you from the ATM section to the area blind to the cameras. I alerted Chedraui security in less than 10 seconds, but they did nothing about it but made fun of me. No one calls the police or checks the cameras. They act like all Americans deserve to be robbed. PS Apparently, that’s happening over there every day. So probably the staff cooperates with thieves. Be alert. You are on your own.

It has been a year since we were here. Normally this is our go-to grocery store. Perhaps Sunday is the wrong day to shop. The produce was not good...many items not availabe or so ripe they were verging on rotten. It is great to see that they now have vegan sections in both the cheese and meat departments and still carry other items like Hemp Hearts, ground flax. It looks like they are building an addition to the store, so that will be welcome. A time of transition I think

Stopped in before heading back to America. A great place to grab souvenirs at fair prices! We got magnets and bracelets here. Most importantly we were able to snag some tequila and cheap prices to bring home with us!

They have a great selection of plant based products but wish that they'd had more produce. The bread section is enormous. Staff wasn't friendly and seemed like they wanted to be somewhere else. It's a great store if you don't want to talk to anyone and just need a handful of items. I gave an extra star for the size and convenience.
