★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Diving is pretty much take care of yourself. Will hand you a rope and grab your Fins when you get out of the water that’s about it. Couple 5 gallon buckets in the back to rinse your stuff no one helping you with anything I got into the water them telling me my BC was on my tank only problem was nobody bothered to snap it in. If you like to do everything yourself with basically no guidance whatsoever it’s a good place. I won’t dive with them again and besides that the resorts south of town the dive boats are so thick I’ will not ever dive in that area again. We had poor weather so I only got four dives we went to the same place both times. I’ll drive closer to town it’s not unusual to see 14 to 18 dive boats when you surface it’s way over done. I’m going back to Porta Adventura with Dive AVentura they take care of you and it’s great Diving and the current is almost nothing

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We've been diving with Palancar for over 10 years. They employ local dive masters with very little turn over. Consistently good diving with guides that really know the reef well

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Depends what you do with them. We used them on the resort for the Hobie Cat, paddle board, and kayaks. Staff was rude and unable to manage a schedule.
We walked up to the stand with no one at the stand and signed up for the Hobie Cat. We were told it would be 30 min, despite their being a second boat. The boat returned and the 30 min had past, but then we were bumped for another family that just walked up was giving priority.
I'm sure the issue was language, but the attendant didn't even try to say their was another group ahead of us. Not to mention they had extra staff and another boat, they made no effort to manage the needs of the guests.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The dive masters knew what they were doing but we felt very rushed and unsafe. Our gear didn't fit well, they didn't have wet suits for us and the group we dove with was uncomfortably large. They kind of shrugged off safety issues and seemed to care more about getting the dive started rather than making sure everyone was prepared.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Started my experience with Dive Palancar back in 2015 with my original open water certification. Throughout my next 8 trips to the island, I have added a few more certs to my profile. During my stays here in Cozumel, I have dove with other reputable diving companies and each time have been left wanting. From the onset communication and scheduling, to the customer service and professionalism of their teams, Team Dive Palancar does not disappoint.
Now 1/2022, once touched down and settled I reached out to set up a dive. The attention to detail, communication and professionalism of the crew was again without fail and on point! Cheers to you guys!
Let’s face it, we come here on vacation to get unwind and decompress. It’s these types of relationships that allows this to happen.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were in cozumel for a few days and decided to go on a snorkel excursion. Dive Palacar has a place at the resort, Secrets Aura Cozumel, so I booked a 3 hour snorkel trip. The boat picked us up at the resort's pier and took us to 3 different areas for snorkeling. I've never been snorkeling before, other than right in front of the resort, which was very cool by itself, so I didn't have much to compare it to, but will say, I thought the trip was very awesome! We stopped at one reef and saw a lot of fish and a sea turtle. At the 2nd stop, there were tons of different fish, and we saw at least 7 sea turtles. Then they took us to a beautiful sandy area with starfish everywhere. We saw a couple of rays as well. Our guides cut up some fresh fruit for us and had drinks available. Overall a fantastic first snorkeling excursion and I would happily do it over and over. The cost was $57 per person which included the national park entrance fee. I've included a few captures from videos that I recorded.
