Dolphin Discovery Costa Maya - 77940 Mahahual

Cozumel. Just got back from our first cruise ever. You are taken FAR out to make sure no one can see or take any photos. The photos are EXTREME priced at 160.00 PER PERSON OR 40.00 Per Photo. They also hover over your shoulder while looking at the photos on the computer, to make sure no one is taking a picture of the photos. The Dolphin managed to get the locker key out of my pocket and to the bottom of the Dolphin area. One minute I was told "well, one of our workers will go down, and see if he can retrieve it." A minute later "You will have to pay for losing it". They had SECURITY follow me around to pay a 5.00 key charge. We also purchased the Royal VIP which included food ... They told us when we arrived that the restaurants close at 3:30 and we would not get to eat. The Dolphin Experience was fantastic. The photos, employees, customer service ... Some of the worst I've ever seen. Maybe try the one in Costa Maya or somewhere else.

Costa maya is an amazing port. No excursions needed. Dolphins, birds, swim up pool bar, shops and gelato!

Costa Maya has an amazing port, one of the perks of this port is the fact you can swim with dolphins right when you get off the ship. The trainers here are exceptionally knowledgeable and you can tell how much the staff enjoy their job and working with dolphins. Once in a lifetime experience, Dolphins are amazing and the trainers are very good. Reccomend having someone with you to take pictures, you can't take cameras or phones down by the pools and pictures taken by staff are very expensive and you get what they take. Had a large group and every picture had one person in it, very disappointed.

Loved the dolphins but if you were not at least 5'7" or taller this was not fun. My life vest was up around my shoulders the whole time and all the short people (kids especially) were like bobbers with nothing to hang onto. If my hubby had not held onto me the whole time I would have been in the middle of the pool! My understanding is that there are other ports where the water is only waist deep and the experience amazing. Live and learn.

These Dolphins are soooo.... sweet!! ? I have gone swimming with Dolphins before in Vegas. It was a much different experience, but equally as Wonderful!! They are so intelligent. When you go on the boogie board they circle around you & then go behind you & lift the back of your foot & boogie board & give you a super fast ride..... my foot slipped off of her fin that she placed behind my foot. I thought ok that's it.... no water ride for me ?but she went up ahead & around again because she decided I deserved another chance. I was really shocked that she was so kind hearted to do that for me ?? If you love Dolphins ? you will love swimming with them ❤️ Do it!! You won't regret it.

Great service, awesome experience with family and good food. Dolphins experience the best.
