★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you would like to taste REAL Mexican food, Don Cafeto is the place to go. This restaurant has been in Tulum for years and is a traditional spot there. Finally decided to open a branch in Puerto Aventuras and has made all the locals happy as Puerto was in real need of an authentic Mexican food touch at a real Mexican price.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went there for dinner. It wasn’t busy. We were seated and then it seemed that they forgot us. They never came back to take the order for drinks or to see if we had any questions. They were standing around just talking. We got up and went to another restaurant. We have been to Don Cafeto in Tulum and enjoyed it. We will probably never come back this one. I would give them zero stars if I could because we never even tried the food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The one in Tulum is still better. But it is great that the place is here. Very good arachera and ceviche. Nevertheless, the other food highly depend who is in the kitchen. I was served once with uncooked fish, shrimps that were not good and with ribeye that was still fridge cold in some parts (we ordered 4 of them and all of them were uneatable. I will still give 4 stars for those excelent vegetables served as a starter. Will change for 5 is you will correct. ??♂️

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There's just something about a bowl of spicy pickles from Don Cafeto. I know they started with a passion for coffee, but I've always gone for the spicy pickled veg. I didn't know they had branched out from Tulum, so was happy to discover the new outpost in Puerto Aventuras.
