Must-visit! Very unassuming, hidden little restaurant packed with locals. Menu is hard to navigate but you won’t go wrong with your choice, and the food is super affordable. Try the pambazas de arrecha... they are nothing short of life-changing.

This is authentic Mexican food from all over, truly a special find. Go there! There aren't a lot of gringos in there, be not afraid try everything.

Great Local Food At Amazing Prices We have been eating dinner here for the last couple of weeks. I have tried just about everything and they have all been delicious. If you want to get a full service meal that fills you up for 50 Pesos (or less!) then this is the place. Their deserts are also delicious and cost around 30 pesos (for a generous slice of thick cheesecake, for example). The Gringas Especiales is a better deal than getting 2 tacos, and it has more meat. We typically found a waiter who spoke pretty good English, but it is not guaranteed! Be brave, the worst thing you might end up with is pig knuckles! As an experienced traveller once told us: order what you want, eat what you get! I just had their daily special (3 chicken enchiladas for 45 pesos) and they were super delicious and full of chicken. I am about to burst. What an amazing Value.

Not to be missed if you like an authentic Mexican food experience. We read the Google reviews and decided to try it, so glad we did! The staff is very friendly, even though we weren't familiar with all the terminology on the menu they answered our questions. We have eaten there several times now. Tacos are excellent, Pozole is hearty and the prices are the most inexpensive so down meal we have ever had in all of Mexico! Food is served quick quick so go in hungry.

Great, authentic Mexican food off the beaten path. This family-run gem of a restaurant is what makes traveling so much fun. Provecho!

Hole in the wall serving authentic local dishes. We ordered 6 different dishes and all tasted quite good with the highlight being the pambazo. Our waiter spoke English as well, and helped us understand the menu. Highly recommended!

This place is so good and so cheap!!! We had the steak pambazo, pork pazole, and the burrito especial. All 3 were so delicious!!!! We also had 2 cokes and 2 bottled waters and the entire bill was $163 pesos (less than $9 USD)! We were the only 2 gringos when we were there but the staff is very helpful and put up with my poor spanish with a smile! We will go back before we leave Chapala! Highly recommend!
