Realice un viaje en fin de año y fue una experiencia única, el personal muy amable y las cabañas en la selva muy bonita, los tour bien organizados y en especial un agradecimiento al guía Alfredo que hizo nuestro tour de 4 días muy divertido y entretenido

Hicimos un tour privado 2 adultos y 2 niños de 12 y 10 años. Visitamos El Chiflón, Lagos de Montebello, Yaxchilán, caminatas en la selva, Bonampak, Roberto Barrios, Misol Ha, Palenque, etc. La comunicación con ellos previa al tour fue muy buena. El guía, Alfredo, fue muy atento con nosotros en todo momento y sobre todo ayudó a los niños muchísimo para bañarse en cascadas, etc. Si no fuese por él, que además es monitor de aventura ellos no lo habrían pasado tan bien. Al ser tour privado el guía lo adoptó a nuestro gusto muy bien, por ejemplo buscando más recorridos por la selva. Los campamentos son maravillosos, integrados en la selva. Encuentras alguna cucaracha pero es normal allí donde estás. La visita a la selva con Don Pedro en Lacantún fue inolvidable. Lo más mejorable es calidad y variedad de la comida. La furgoneta es muy buena y Alfredo como conductor fantástico. Recomiendo este tour con esta agencia a cualquiera que quiera vivir una experiencia inolvidable

Sin duda fue una de las mejores experiencias en mi vida la Expedición al Cañón Río la Venta. Y excelentes los guías de Explora.

Tuve una de las mejores experiencias en mucho tiempo, superó mis expectativas. Los guías, pero sobre todo Alfredo, fue muy atento con nosotros en todo momento esto hace que la experiencia sea aún mejor, sin duda, Explora y la gente que trabaja ahí te hacen sentir en casa.

Called this company in the morning to arrange a paddle on the Rio Lacanja. Had a unique scenario where our group had our own boats so we called ahead to check if it were possible to take them down the river accompanied by a guide (to respect the local people’s rule of accompaniment by a local guide in jungle/on river). We were told via phone that this was definitely a possibility and to “just come down and we will figure it out here” they also mentioned we could camp there. Meanwhile “just coming down” was a 2.5hr transport from Palenque which we were prepared for. Upon arrival at the Explora Chiapas camp in Lacanja Chansayab we were told that we couldn’t camp there. We were told that we couldn’t bring our own boats down the river. All the rafting trip pricing was said to be more than the website indicated. No one was welcoming to us or seemed very excited upon our arrival even though the place was literally empty, you’d think they’d be eager for 5 new guests, but it didn’t feel that way. Not a warm welcome here in our experience. We appreciate honesty and being forward with travel advice/service and this was not it.

Booked the 4 days kayaking tour in the Lacandon jungle - really brilliant experience, and had an amazing time with our excellent guide Adrian (spoke good English as well). First day was visiting El Chiflon and Lagos Montebello, the former was beautiful, and got to swim, the latter was a bit quick and just looking at the views. Lots of driving on day 1, but accommodation overnight was good, and good food. Second day was kayaking on the Rio Lacantun - beautiful, and an incredible experience, absolute highlight of the trip! Drove a few hours in the evening to get to second accommodation in Lacanja. Accommodation was also good and clean, but food was poor (plain and small portions). Third day we visited the ruins at Yaxchilan, which were stunning, and went rafting, really good fun! Final day was a long drive in the morning to Palenque, followed by a visit to the ruins. This was frustrating - the tour was barely an hour, and in Spanish (my gf doesn't speak any, so I had to translate the whole thing). At the end of the tour you get offered a "jungle tour" for extra money - you don't need to, just walk into the Palenque nature reserve and wander around yourself, and save a lot of money! Explora should definitely organise a longer tour - Palenque is amazing, and it was a massive shame that our visit felt really rushed. Overall a great experience, and Adrian was brilliant, but had to take one star off because of the food at Lacanja (the camp is run by Explora), and for the short visit to Palenque.

We (me and a friend) did the CUEVA EL CHORREADERO tour. Wow, this was amazing. The best extreme tour in San Cristobal. The company sent a second guide who speaks English especially for us. The cave and the underground river are beautiful. The climbing and rappelling are fun and not too difficult. The canyoning and jumping are extreme, definitely gave me the adrenaline rush I was looking for. The guides were very professional. We felt safe and understood how to pass every technical part safely. They also helped us take photos and videos of the activity. The communication with the company was great. They are very responsive and very flexible. We managed to go on the tour just the two of us (with some extra cost) even though usually it is a four person minimum. Thank you for an awesome extreme tour!

There are not enough stars to express our enthusiasm for this entire experience. There were 4 of us, all experienced travelers and this was far and away the best trip any of us had ever been on. We chose the 5-day Lacandon Jungle tour and everything from the food and lodging to the views and experiences were superb. Our guide, Alfredo was kind hearted, good natured, adventurous, and extremely knowledgeable about everything in the area. We truly got an education from him. He also pushed us outside of our comfort zones, which we are all grateful for. We had a chance to swim in waterfalls, feed macaws, eat termites, play with rubber from the rubber tree, and learn about the rich history of the Chiapas region. We will most definitely be back with you and will tell everyone we know that they need to take one of your amazing, eco tourism trips. Thank you, thank you!!!
