This pizza place is EPIC service is excellent So my wife and I started with one on the menu and then felt inspired for two other pizzas on the “make your own” menu but we took a blurry picture but trust me this place is THE PIZZA PLACE!!!! I came to this restaurant because I smelled the wood burning stove on my walk home during the daytime. The food was good. The menu is simple which I like. I didn't like the ghetto rap music playing. The design and Ambiance is great and most people will probably live it but the seats are benches without backs so not as comfy for me.

Once again Pedro had outdone himself with this new restaurant! This is the newest and best pizza restaurant in PDC! Love the fact that it is all outdoor dinning but there is also indoor space to have a drink after or before dinner either at the bar or in the lounge area. The menu is amazing, I had the grilled lettuce salad to start which amazing, the lettuce was grilled to perfection and the mix of the ingredients with the Gorgonzola sauce was delicious. After that I had to try the spicy bucatini which were delicious, (if you have ever been to Carbone this like their spicy famous rigatoni). Finished off with the truffle pizza which was wow!!! His dough is perfect the mix of the egg and truffle was very tasteful! This is the only restaurant in playa that has real truffle!!! Finally a pizza restaurant that has the perfect dough!!! Can’t wait to come back and try other items on the menu. The service was amazing, as always Pedro knows what he is doing when it comes to food and pairing ingredients. (this is also the same owner as primo just one block away)

What can I say… simply the best pizza not only in Playa Del Carmen …. But I’d say would make Italy sweat… incredible food… chilled and classy atmosphere… great at tentative staff… the chef needs and applause at every dish… try the prawns and the lamb pizza with lamb broth dip…. Absolutely mouth watering. Do Not Miss This Place.

Flamas was delicious and the service was amazing. We tried a little bit of everything on their menu and it certainly didn’t disappoint. Flama’s branding is on point, their vibe is low key and relaxed, wine choices were good, and the food was great. The cucumber salad and the lamb meatballs were far and away our favorite dishes. The roasted pear with gelato dessert had an amazing lime taste that makes your mouth water. Make sure to ask for their sourdough with the meatballs — omg. The server was incredibly attentive and extremely kind. I wish all places had service this great. Will certainly be back whenever we visit Playa again.

AMAZING food & staff! The outdoor space has a nice vibe with candlelight, music and the amazing aroma of the wood fired grill. My FAVE is the "catch of the day crudo, black garlic XO sauce, almond, chaya and pickled radish" & the "grilled lettuce gorgonzola beurre blanc dressing, green peas & toasted pecan" incredible as well! My husband loved the "Flama's Must" wood fired pizza. Food so flavorful & fresh, can't wait to go back! A second visit to Flama did not disappoint! Once again, service was top notch and food excellent! Had to revisit the catch of the day but also ordered the "Grilled Asparagus w/lemon aioli, pecorino, balsamic mustard" excellent but I preferred the grilled lettuce salad. Hubby ordered the "Lamb Meatballs w/sage, parmesan cheese & grilled sourdough".

Popped in here after a very disappointing food experience elsewhere. This was our second time dining at Flama. The staff recognized us from a week prior and were welcoming and kind. The food does not disappoint. Absolutely fantastic! The pizza dough has the perfect amount of char, a nice chewiness to it, and the toppings are flavourful. It's become my favourite pizza spot in Playa. The salads are also great, this time we had the burrata salad, very fresh and flavourful.
