City and Jungle Tour This may have been the worst tour I have been on in all my travels across 27 countries. It was so disorganized. We had to wait around constantly so that the photographer could take pics of each person or group. So it was a terribly unnatural rhythm. What's worse, when I told the photographer I didn't want my picture taken, he grabbed my shoulder and said, c'mon don't be difficult. I was disgusted and I said, take your hand off me, I said no. He walked away and still persisted to include me in photos even when I turned my face away. We were then taken to the start of the malecón and the church of Guadeloupe just to shop for 1/2 hr. Then we were shipped off to a silver store. Next we went all the way to Mismaloya just to end up at a coffee roaster with more stuff to sell. By now it is 2 pm and there has been no lunch provided. Off to a Tequila tour while we wait for 1 hr for lunch that eventually arrived at 3 pm. The guide tried to convince us that this is normal Mexican lunch time. However, I live and work here and know this is false. Other Mexicans were also complaining. To make matters worse we were offered only 4 options for dinner. These ranged from 990 mxn to 750 mxn to 550 mxn. No other options were offered. A group of us began to protest that they offered such limited options only because we were in the middle of nowhere. That's when we were offered quesedillas for 130 pesos with rice and beans. We finally said yes even though this was also way over priced. I shared with another couple that they offered us this option. After the tour guide found out, he proceeded to reprimand me by telling me "that he tried to be nice by offering me this option, but I had to ruin it because now everyone wants quesedillas." Of course this is ridiculous since there was literally 1 other couple that requested this. To make matters worse, it is ridiculous to be reprimanded like a child for a lack of options on their part. I couldn't wait to go home. If given an option to take this city and jungle tour, please choose anything but this.
