Grand Matlali Hills Resort & Spa - 63734 Cruz de Huanacaxtle

It’s the first and last time that I book in this hotel. They advertised as a all inclusive hotel and its completely false. No red wine, no white wine, hot beer, food very poor an bad quality. Very pissoff about being here. The hotel it’s being renewed but all day long listening workers activities, windows splash by concrete. The principal halls are like walking the yard in a prision, wires in the gardens have a bad view, restricted areas it seems like they are in construction. I called 5 times to lobby for the remote control of tv. Repeat my first and last time here

A total disappointment. They advertise a private beach club that’s not even private, it’s far away, the entrance is horrible to both the club and the hotel. They said they had four pools, but only one was open and available, same thing with the restaurants. The receptionists were kind of rude and the only good thing was the food (sometimes). Save yourselves some money and book anywhere but here.

Save your money, since we arrived here we have been absolutely disappointed with the service. The room it's not what we booked the sofa bed only fit a small kid actually it's not a real sofa bed. We didn't have a TV and when they brought one it didn't work not switch on at all. They are on construction so there's noise since 7 am so not come here for relax. The room has ants problems and needs a few more things. The buffet is really limited the smallest I have ever seen and I travel a lot. And the hotel shuttle is a mess sometimes it's late pick up if they show up. I won't recommend this place and never come back again.

It was the most beautiful place to spend your time. The landscaping was unbelievable, everything was so well kept. Due to covid the place was quite empty which was fine with us. Our one bedroom suite was very clean and we lacked nothing.we stayed at serenity and the pool was just outside our door. It was huge and very beautiful. The pool area near the pool bar was very nice too but the serenity pool was more for me. We were presented with very appetizing meals so we were sure not to go hungry. We have been here two weeks and I got covid so I will have to quarantine here for another eleven days before returning to Canada. Jaugkin the guy at the pool bar was outstanding could not do enough for you. Everyone was really nice. I read the reviews after we booked our trip and they were terrible. I just have such a hard time to understand the reasoning

Absolutely beautiful resort. Perfect for couples or the whole family. The resort staff is friendly, respectful, and very professional. They will do anything in their power to make your stay completely satisfying. I will definitely be coming back and will recommend to my friends and family.

Checked into a hot room that faced the sun and was like an oven. The A/C and ceiling fan were off and when we turned them on, the A/C barely blew any cool air. It was hot enough that it was difficult to sleep. Also, the furniture was scuffed and had some light stains, but not disgustingly so. The curtains were visibly worn. Aside from this it was actually pretty modern design. Everyone was super friendly but no one spoke English well enough that we didn't have to talk slowly. I was traveling with someone who spoke Spanish so they mostly talked to her rather than trying to speak English to me. It was kinda emasculating to have my girl take charge considering I was the one who set this whole trip up. I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt because there are signs that the resort is in transition and renovations are in progress. So I didn't rate it a 2-star or worse.

I booked this hotel to have an all-inclusive vacation in beautiful setting. Unfortunately that was not the case with the pool suite I booked. The private pool was partially filled, had algae, and was dirty. We asked to have it cleaned, but hours later there was still no update. After waiting for a couple of hours we asked to be moved to another room. The new room was acceptable, but the AC wasn't working until the next day. The food situation was also bad. Not all the restaurants they had were open and you were limited to a preset menu for dinner. The food was OK, but not for what they were charging. This place is not worth the money.

We had such a wonderful time. The food was delicious. Everyone was so nice. The resort is beautiful. Everything is kept very clean although the rooms could use some updating as far as furniture and the mattress could be a little more comfortable. The bartenders at the pool and beach club were exceptional as well as the waters at the restaurant. There was only one restaurant open but it had a good variety of food for us. It was a very relaxing vacation for us.
