Got scammed 3 separate times in the process of one car rental. You WILL be robbed, no doubt about it. I rented a car at around 4:00 pm when it was fully light outside. When I returned it, they showed me the tailpipe was damaged. I told him to check the pictures that the company took of the car with me before letting me drive away. He showed me the picture and sure enough, the tailpipe was fine. Then I told him to zoom out of the picture and I realized it was taken by night.... AND, when I tried to view the pictures that they supposedly sent me by email, the file was empty. That’s besides for twice not honoring the price they quoted (think from $93 total to $220 total... all in all an embodiment of the corruption that’s so rampant in this country.

Had very positive experience renting Chevrolet Aveo for one day. Cost 1000 pesos. No hassle, fast service. The car was in perfect condition. Rent deposit was just 5000 pesos, released quickly next day.

Absolutely despicable service, hidden fees not shown on the website ("necessary" insurance was more than the car itself?!) with surcharges at the end too even though we returned in pristine condition. Nothing was explained in Spanish or English that remotely suggested what would happen.

I read a lot of bad reviews about using this company but honestly my experience was good. We asked for a quote and visited a couple other car rental places, including local ones. However a couple of the local companies and also Budget had no cars to rent and Hurtz did. We wanted the full insurance just in case since we hadn’t driven in Mx before and paid $80-100 total for the car the first day (we split it between four people) and $60 the second day for the same kind of car, would have been cheaper with the 80% insurance but we felt that was a decent deal. I think our deposit was around $250, but There were no issues, no hassle and we were really glad we got to have a car to explore with. Don’t be scared to go in and ask for what you need for the price you’re willing to pay, in my experience they’re a decent company to work with.

They will charge you $70 for mandatory “insurance” that doesn’t show on the website. More than doubles the cost of the rental. Don’t precook with them

Unreliable, they don't care if you have a reservation or if you payed beforehand, when you arrive they'll say they don't have any cars available and that's that. The guy at the front desk was also rude.

Me and the kids needed a car to drive to Bacalar MX. And of course the process was smooth and efficient. I just showed up and I was assisted instantly! I used my Discover credit card and honestly that was the best part ! I felt safe with the car and returning the car was easy ! I will be using them again ????????
