Holboxdream Beachfront Hotel - 77310 Holbox

Crazy that they charge 250 USD a night for this. Room is super small and doesnt have a fridge. When you ask for ice they charge you 50 pesos its crazy. Pools are very small and dirty, beach is literally 5 meters wide, wifi is really bad. Also they cancel your booking from Booking.com to skip the fee and when you arrive they try to let you pay additional costs of 35 USD a night. Really crazy. Feeling ripped off and ruined my holiday at a beautiful island already. Never book a room here. Much better and cheaper options to go with.

Such a beautiful hotel. The service was great. If could suggest any change, it would be the breakfast maybe a few more options. The location was amazing. The check in was fast and pleasant. I would definitely recommend the Hotel

Nice and clean place. Very friendly and helping people in the reception. Rooms are nice as well. Breakfast was small, but in Mexico's standard that's probably normal. Recommend overall. However, the beach club is expensive and food not that good.

For the money we paid we were pretty disappointed with the Holbox Dream. Ironically dreams were not easy to have here as the noise from the bar next door made sleeping impossible. After complaining on the first night and asking if this was likely to happen every night I was reassured by the lady on the front desk that "the police have been called" and it was a one-off from a nearby hostel. When it happened the following night it was clear that we had been lied to as it was a bar that featured live music every night until at least 1am. As a family with young kids it was totally inappropriate of the hotel to house us in the room they did, yet no apology or attempt to move us was offered. Service was generally average, with surly staff who took every opportunity to ask for tips (which were not often deserved). Breakfasts were poor - terrible coffee, reconstituted orange juice, cheap toast and margarine and simple scrambled eggs. No variety day to day. The beach club is pleasant however you will need to get there early to secure a lounger as space is very limited and offered to passers by as well as paying guests. Rooms, when not uninhabitable by the noise from next door were comfy, simply furnished and clean. But for the money I cannot recommend this hotel - it very much feels like they are exploiting the current popularity of Holbox. There are a great number of other alternatives in the Yucatan which offer far greater value, service and comfort.

?DO NOT STAY HERE? This hotel is not worth the money AT ALL and it's not what they advertise. - There's a hostel slash bar right behind the hotel and it's insanely loud. They play music at night and it's impossible to sleep. - Rooms are very small and very basic. - No TV, no mini fridge, no storage. - The lock for the safe is a super heavy lock from the 70s and they charge $100 if you lose it. - General bad vibes all around, it feels like a highway motel and not a 4 stars hotel at all. There's so many cool options in Holbox and this is NOT one of them. Do not let the fake photos fool you.

Loved this hotel. The beachfront is perfect and location is amazing. It's more of a family vibe so if you're there for more energy and partying it may not be the spot for you. Great service all around, rooms are really nice, clean and fairly modern. Also a couple minutes away from the most popular sunset spot.

Hi . I am at the hotel right now. The location, the room and the beach are good. The breakfast is very average and basic. The big issue are raccoons. I can understand it is an island problem. But my friend and I paid extra fee to get a big room with terrace and jacuzzi that we cannot use. Even if you don’t see the raccoons you see the dirt and the mess they leave behind them. The manager is aware and refuse to do anything. They shouldn’t charge for a terrace you cannot use ! It is just not fair. So be warned, avoid this hotel if you expect to enjoy a balcony !

Omg I cannot stop talking about how amazing this hotel is. The rooms are clean and the space is well utilized. I loved having private access to a beach. The beach is beautiful and clean. The food and drinks at the beach club were amazing! Breakfast is delicious and goes pretty late (10am). My husband and I really loved the nests on the beach! It was so relaxing. The staff was so helpful and booked us bikes to go explore the island. Would come back without w doubt!
