Hospital Galenia - 77505 Cancún

1st of all my sister in law needed emergency medical treatment and was sent to galenia hospital which in turn is a private hospital. Let the shakedown begin , this hospital is a complete rip off. We tried to explain to Jose which in turn was the ringmaster who tried to shake us down for $300 for consultation but when we tried to explain that we have travel insurance and had the insurance rep on the phone he double talked and still tried to get payment explaining he needs payment within 15mins !!and didn't do anything !!! Please at all costs avoid this hospital

Do not come here. There is reason why they have bad reviews. They are complete rip off. They are all about money . They have no compassion. Do not go here.

Don't go to that hospital. I went with my 3 year old baby to an emergency, she was crying in pain and they didn’t even have the humanity to at least provide first aid. they ask if you have money, if you don’t, they don't even look at your face. they wouldn't let me talk to my husband, who was in the reception. they charged me an amount and charged my husband an extra amount for the service. they passed my husband's card 3 times, i pointed out that they gave me the contract for what was charged and the charge in excess of 12,000 thousand pesos wasn’t written on it 603 dollars. they charge as if you were being treated in the United States, an abusive amount because you are a tourist. a pre-service from the emergency room doctor, a suppository that I didn't understand why they used. they didn't give her medicine in the vein for pain. a orthopedist x-ray and an immobilization for the arm with a slight fracture in the elbow that my baby had, total $2,700. a opportunistic theft, I'm already looking for a lawyer in the United States and I will file a lawsuit because I was charged for this value, which is not included in the contract (observation: the nurses and the emergency room doctor were very affectionate).

they will scam you the minute that you will step in to there emergency room dont go that place if your health is important for you its only money money .

They definitely take advantage of tourists and locals and charge high fees. I know someone who works here and that person admitted the practice of taking advantage of tourists. What a shame that even in a hospital, you are exploited. All of Cancun is like that unfortunately...from the moment you step off the plane.

if your health is important to you. dont put your finger at that hospital its all about money money money and more. money they will do everything to get as much as they can from your pocket specially if you come on emergency situation charge 35000 usd for nothing there is much better places instead of that place run from that hospital.

The staff and facilities at Hospital Galenia are excellent. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. But the kudos must go to the nursing staff and attendies. They make the worst time of your life bearable. For me one nurse in particular stood out amongst all the other brilliant nurses and that was Oscar. Thank you for everything you did to make me comfortable and not so embarrassed. Mention must also be made of Ms Olivia, medical consierge, she makes magic happen. Thank you.
