Beautiful! Service was amazing everyone for the most part was friendly and helpful. The room in part was a little 'tattered'. The walk out pool suite was nice, but I didn't realize people would swim into our space. This was annoying but I adjusted. The food choices were really good, but some were a miss for me. It's about 35 min from Cancun Airport in good traffic. Enjoy!

Pretty place. Nice beach area.. Buffet has lots of room for improvement. Breakfast buffet was mostly good.. The poolside snacks were good and the Mexican dinner was enjoyable. But it's hard to get reservations for restaurants. All staff was helpful and no timeshare people bothered us.

Wow this place was beautiful and much more than we expected. The resort has everything from delicious Restaurants, buffets to theater, bars, pools and daily planned activities to encourage guests to have a fun time. The buffet food was okay, it definitely had a variety to chose from, very clean and many open tables. However, once we had a taste of the 4 course meals at the restaurants we couldn’t go back to the buffets. Just make sure to reserve your reservation for the restaurants on their app it is pretty simple. The sports bar on the resort was one of our favorite place to go. It is open late, great drinks, late night bar food and we received the best service from Celsa she was very kind and attentive to us. They have little golf cart shuttles that run about every 15 minutes to get guest from lobby area to their rooms but it is not to much of a long walk if you don’t want to wait. Overall we had a great time, many memories built my joining the planned activities, going to the amazing shows at the theater and eating and drinking all we want. Definitely would recommend coming here and we will be coming back.

Stayed here a few years ago and it was great. Can’t say the same now. Disappointed with many areas of our stay. Swim out room - highly recommend. It was the highlight of the trip. Staff are hit and miss. Some friendly, but many don’t seem to care or even know how to do their jobs. They look confused and unhappy. Given that, some staff were striking out front so they prob had to bring in anyone they could find to help staff. Sad. Housekeeping was horrible, and that’s even after we left a daily tip. The marble floors are very slippery. Fell a few times (not the tequila!). The grounds are kept well and the wild animals are entertaining- deer, cote, monkeys, iguanas, and lots of cats. Al-a-carte’s are great. Buffet … substandard. Chill Out restaurant on the ocean is a must (but not part of the all inclusive). Your cab from airport to resort should be about $90 US. We were charged $140! This is not a 5 star resort anymore. Would give it 3.5. Would stay again only because of the swim out and if they do some much needed upgrades. Weather was fantastic!

The ground of this resort are impeccable with excellently manicured vegetation and mature trees. The rooms are nice but dark. Even with all the lights on and the windows open, it didn’t seem very bright in our room. I preferred the food at the buffet to the food at the Sports Bar or La Hacienda. The staff are very friendly- we were told “hola” tens of times a day and treated with the utmost respect. I would absolutely stay here again but then again, staying somewhere with beautiful landscaping is very important to me. If you are someone who is a foodie and the grounds are not as important, you may want to look elsewhere. For us, the cleanliness of the entire resort is extremely important and this resort definitely did not fall short- the pools, landscaping, and the amount of shine on the marble flooring was truly impressive. If we ever come back to Mexico, I will return to this hotel.

Me and my girlfriend stayed at this amazing resort back in September. The staff was so friendly, the facility is huge and amazing in every single part of it. I’m not gonna lie, before we left I was a little worried after reading some reviews, so I was on the look out that sooner or later something was gonna go wrong. The resort and our stayed was way better than my expectations! We really loved it! The beach was amazing. We loved the Mexican restaurant and the buffet - you could literally find anything at the buffet -. Personally, if I go back to Mexico I will try to go back at the Riviera Princess.

We visited Mexico and this hotel for the first time for Mother's Day Day weekend. Everyone here is very nice and welcoming. The reason why I didn't give all 5 is because of the following. Food: Buffet was the same every day but with different themes.Restaurants a la carte required reservations and were limited to once a day. The drinks were not top-shelf however you could upgrade and pay for it Beach: Private access but it had a large amount of seaweed that smelled pretty bad and could be seen all on the shoreline. Pool: Plenty of pools to choose from throughout the resort. A swim-up bar and snack station were a plus. Wait time: There wasn't any wait time for breakfast or lunch. The only wait time was to get on or off the cart to bring you to your room or main lobby for the shops and restaurants. Overall we had a nice experience and time here. We were sad that we couldn't get to the beach. The staff tried their best to keep the beach clean and keep up with the shifting ecosystem. Tip: Upgrade to Platinum for concierge service and if not traveling with a family stay at the Yucatan Platinum side of the resort. Pet Peeve: When walking around the main lobby the hotel staff will ask how long you're staying here. If it's more than 2-3 days they will try their best to sign you up for a Timeshare presentation and give you discounted excursion tickets or VIP access to other parts of the hotel. To each their own if you want to partake in it. It's a bit annoying getting asked almost 2x a day when walking around the resort. Politely say I'm not interested and keep it moving. Taxes: At checkout, you'll be charged environmental fees. The estimated cost is $110 pesos. ATM: The machine charges $10 to withdraw cash. Is best to bring cash and exchange it at the airport. The bellboys and housekeeping will appreciate the tips.

This place is the best rated in this area. I've been staying here for a long time. If you stay for a few days you for sure will love it I'm sure! This Hotel is the epitome of the 5-star experience. It's refined, polished atmosphere exudes class and classic charm. Definitely worth splurging for a room with a view! Me and my girlfriend stayed at this amazing resort back in September.
