★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rooms are quite basic, outdated. Pool is growing algae, definately not for swimming.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Negative: The general areas of the hotel were not very clean, pool was growing algae. Bathroom seemed to have black mold on the ceiling...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A bit out of the way, but nestled within a true community of people who call Tulum home. Authentic and safe and only a $2.00 cab ride from Central Tulum.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Positive: Nice host. Big bed. Strong AC. Mexican TV.. Negative: Definitely needs a bike as out of reach from main activities. Difficult to manage the hot and cold water in shower, was mostly hot..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Incredibly nice staff and quite helpful. Rooms were simple but it's what we expected for the price. Be advised though that you're a good 20 minutes walk from the "centro" so either ask for a bike (I think they lend it rent them) or take a taxi or collectivo to the centro. The neighborhood is fairly poor but seemed safe to us (we have young children and walked through it). There's also a nice playground about for blocks South.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed three nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The host and staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was large for us with a burner and they provided a pan and some dishes which was unexpected but we took advantage! The bikes were solid and worked fine for roaming around the city, we even road them out to the Tulum ruins, lock included. Nice quiet place, fair price, good WiFi and lovely staff!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The room is quite big and there is also a small kitchen and some dishes you can use to cook. Wifi was quite weak but was working better in the kitchen. We also had hot water the whole time.
The location is not the best, it is quite far from the city center. We always took the car to go to the city as by walk I would not recommend it, especially during the night.
