Hotel Villas Flamingos - 77310 Isla

We stayed here in March 2021 and let me tell you, is more beautiful in person than what you can see in pictures. We stayed at the honeymoon sweet and the room and view was amazing. The staff so nice and incredible helpful. And the food, OMG the food, sooo good. Our stay was pretty much perfect. The only thing we didn’t like is that because they sell day passes there is almost never free sun beds to stay at the beach or close to the pools. You have to peak those that are far from the main hotel. And also, people don’t let staff know when they are leaving leaving the used towels, so no one is aware those are free or if they can take the dirty towels away for someone else to use the space. I don’t know if it’s been always like this or if they are now selling day passes because of the pandemic. Also, the use of speakers is not allowed in the hotel, and for me that’s perfect. But our last two nights the room under ours had new guests using speakers, making loud noises, screaming, and no one told them to keep it quiet. I know this was bad luck but someone from the hotel should have said something to them.

Villas flamingos overall was a very nice and wonderful stay in Holbox. The staff (Karina especially) is helpful and attentive. We had great recommendations for restaurants and our taxis and transport were arranged beautifully. The location is lovely and private. It’s far at the end of the hotels so it’s one of the furthest hotels from the center of town. Walking it’s about 20-25 minutes to town, biking takes about 10-15 and the taxis are quick around 5-8 minutes into town (80-100 pesos per ride). We enjoyed complimentary breakfast which was great but the dinner in the restaurant was excellent! There are paddle boards and bikes for guest use and 3 lovely pools (two of which are for adults only). The rooms are spacious and nice with a seating area in front to enjoy the beautiful view. The showers heads stream from a large wooden log, so the pressure in the shower is not great but the water gets nice and hot. The only issue we had was slow communication on what’s app when we were arriving and for some needs we had when we left. I would suggest communicating in person in the office as much as possible as it can be nerve wracking to wait so long for responses when you need assistance. Villa flamingos also books tours and transport for you which helped us greatly while enjoying the island. We can’t wait to return to holbox !

We just returned from 6 days at Villa Flamingos and already want to come back! The hotel itself is amazing! We stayed in the Honeymoon suite and could not have been more happy with our room, comfortable bed, AMAZING view, housekeeping did an excellent job helping us keep our room clean! I gave 3 stars because the restaurant food and staff lacked. This is the only place on the island we received less than stellar service. At times, the staff seemed put out by simple requests. The food seemed like trying to achieve an elevated experience but fell short. With so many amazing restaurants on the island it was disappointing the food and beverage program at Villas was not up to par. This wouldn’t prevent me from staying here again as the hotel itself is gorgeous, I hope the food game improves before our next trip!

The resort cancelled my reservation a day after booking it, claiming that my payment was declined; the credit card company is clear that they did not attempt to place the charge. I called to ask them to reattempt the charge within minutes of the cancellation and they insisted that someone else had just booked the villa we had reserved. Incredibly frustating after spending days researching and getting excited about our stay.

My friend and I loved our stay - the clean rooms, Pool area, sand bar, real bar, rain shower, menu at the main restaurant, amazing breakfasts (included) and the staff was also so attentive and kind. Loved being able to ride bikes each day through the hotel. This is a must stay!

Just came for the restaurant, Mangle. Juan was a fantastic waiter. Live music was slow, but a nice effort for atmosphere. Bring bug spray, but the swallows/bats did help. Beautiful views and good drinks. Nice dinner, food was decent just past simple surf and turf, fun options, something for everyone. desert was ah mazing!

My wife and I recently celebrated our honeymoon at Villa Flamingos and had an incredible experience from the moment we arrived! The staff was fantastic and kept an eye on all guests to ensure their happiness. Our room was truly amazing and the views of the ocean were breathtaking. I was able to totally disconnect and appreciated there were no TVs in the room, nor wifi so all I could do was relax. I literally read 2 books in a couple days. It was the best. We enjoyed being further from town because it was very quiet and peaceful but we still walked to town on the road or the beach multiple times per day for tacos. Reception staff were super friendly, informative, and easily set us up with a taxi ride to the ferry and a private car to take us back to Cancun. Can't say enough good things and can't wait to return!
