Isla Retreats - 77400 Isla Mujeres

Staying at Isla Retreats (AKA "Casa De Katy" as referred to by locals) was an exceptional experience! I was traveling with a group of friends around the Cancun area and spent 2 nights here. Upon booking, Katy sent a very informative email about everything you need to know to getting to the residence starting from when you land in Cancun. Even though I was not staying in Isla Mujeres my first night, I found myself referring to this email several times as I made my way to Cancun. It made us feel much more comfortable when navigating our way to and through Mexico. Upon arrival I was amazed with the beauty. It is a smaller intimate place with hand picked marble throughout the entire residence and spacious living areas. Katy provides a book with recommendations and tips and tricks for navigating the island. She was able to coordinate a golf cart rental for us that was delivered straight to Isla Retreats (highly recommend). She is an extremely hospitable host and I can't wait to visit again! Katie is an excellent host, the place is immaculate and so relaxing. Imagine waking up every morning and having a chilled coconut and taking a swim in the heated pool. The location is great and close to everything. This was my first stay and I can say without a doubt I will be booking here in the future.

I love love their pool. Having fresh cut coconut water from their trees in the pool was my relaxing time. This place was my favorite spot in Mexico. Clean and private. Katy was so kind and very helpful. Definitely coming back. My lake view was spectacular.

Such a beautiful place and centrally located on the island. Katy was super hospitable and was more than helpful addressing our questions, regardless if it was food rec’s or questions about the property. This will definitely be our spot to stay when we return to Isla. Rooms are spacious, have full amenities (w/ kitchen), comfortable beds, great shower heads, AC, good toilet system, plenty access to fresh water, and plenty is storage space if you have a longer stay. Such a solid place to stay.

We LOVED staying at Isla Retreats! Comfortable, convenient, clean. The location is amazing, so close to everywhere we needed to be, while being very quiet and relaxing. Hanging out by (and in) the pool everyday after visiting the beach was so fun. The owner is often there and is very friendly and helpful. The whole place has such a laidback vibe, while the accommodations are very nice and comfy. Definitely one of our favorite hotels anywhere. We can't wait to go back next year.

We stayed at Isla Retreats two nights and loved it! It feels like home away from home, but in paradise. It is small, quaint, and quite (kid-free). For me, relaxing by the pool, reading a book, and sipping on fresh coconut water (provided in the common area fridge) was a highlight. The host, Katy, was very hospitable. She gave us recommendations for restaurants on the island, and even set us up with a private dinner from a local chef. The food was amazing and it is an experience I’ll never forget. Highly recommend a stay here if you want the inside scoop.

If your looking for that perfect little hideaway, then this is a must stay on Isla. Not sure who decides on the star rating, but this is definitely a 5. The hosts and staff are the best with attention to every detail. Could not have asked for a better vacation.

Our stay in Villa 5 at Isla Retreats was romantic and memorable! Our room was very well appointed and the mattress was extremely comfortable. We slept like babies in the AC and quiet atmosphere. Villa 5 felt like a combination of a second home and a boutique hotel because it had everything we needed (from a hair blow dryer, clothes hamper, coffee, creamer and coffee filters, a gallon jug of drinking water, bath soaps, shampoos, conditioner...) and daily cleaning service. Katie, the Property Manager was friendly and helpful with providing local recommendations. Waking up to views of pelicans, ducks and blue heron on the water from our lanai was relaxing. Cold, fresh coconuts were always stocked in the pool bar and the salt water pool was the perfect temperature. Convenient location where we could walk to restaurants and stores within 10 minutes. We will definitely be back!
