Kay Hotel - 77710 Playa del Carmen

Good location, good internet but facility is so so. No dining room nor coffee maker in room.

No hot water. Toilet was broken. Noises from the roof that you can't sleep at all. I will not get clooser to this place. Find mqny other places around Kay is more like 2 star hostel

Guys this is a scam, the hotel it’s closed I got here yesterday and thanks to the universe I didn’t book it with my card! Don’t fall into this!

Un timo como Nadie puede imaginar . No nos dieron la hoja de reclamación y nos fuimos inmediatamente . Nos nos devolvían y cancelaban por 250€ . Al final tuvimos que pagar todo pero prefiero perder 1000€ a estar una noche en ese cochambroso hotel de estafadores . Ahora en inglés A scam like No one can imagine. They did not give us the claim form and we left immediately. We were refunded and canceled for € 250. In the end we had to pay everything but I prefer to lose 1000€ that spend one night in that dirty hotel of scammers.

Where do I start!!!!! First impression was depressing, as I walked through the door wished I hadn't booked, we asked for our money back, no such luck!!!! Guy on desk most unhelpful, understood only what he wanted too.Was shown to the "Junior Suite" I could have cried!!!! Had booked for 3 nights, didn't want to stay for 3 minutes, it was shabby, unfinished, nothing like the pictures, the shower was soooo dangerous, furniture deckchairs which as you attempted to sit in slide along the floor, the whole experience was awful, the reception phone no that is given on the web site is not the one you can contact them on, we checked out on our second night, you HAVE been warned.

Perfect hotel for spring break. Upclose to the beach, great view from all the rooms and perfectly equipped for a longer stay. If you want cleaning just ask at the receptionand a guarded parking place is just 5 minutes by feet away! We loved it a lot. It's ideal for younger couples and groups of friends! There are no parties allowed at the hotel but many clubs and bars are just a few minutes away from it.

Advantages + The reception Nubia is super great and is very helpful. She offered me to be by the beach while waiting for checking in at 3 P. M. + The location was good. It is just next to the beach and you can get beach view from the balcony. It's also located 2 minutes away from ADO bus terminal. + Room was big and quite clean. Housekeeping was provided mostly everyday and new towels were provided. + There are soap, shampoo, toilet rolls providing. Disadvantages - When I checked in, I got asked to pay taxes 108 MXP by reception Jessica. I showed her everything is paid via Agoda and nothing is written in the application that I have to pay anything else. She strongly confirmed that I have to pay and it's not her responsibility to check with Agent. So I told her it's also not my responsibility to check with Agoda as well. However, I checked later with Agoda and Agoda confirmed that I don't have to pay anything else. - Later, I asked Jessica to help me to remove the wrist band because I got cut by it but she refused and said 'You have to wear it on at all time staying here. Didn't she(Nubia) tell you'. I asked Nubia the day after and Nubia said 'It's for access to the pool and the hotel but you can just showed it'. You see the different attitude and the different ways to communicate from both? - And nobody ever asked to check the wrist band whenever I got in to the hotel somehow only at the hotel beach. - Also, Everytime I got in-out of the hotel Nubia was always mask on, no matter any other people around or not. I have never seen mask on Jessica's face at all even around her chin or her neck including when I checked in and we had spoken. Pandemic is still going on and where is the safety from her side? - I had to leave the hotel early morning around 6 a.m., nobody was there for check out. I kept pressing the ring that provided about 20-25 minutes to call someone to open the main door because it's locked but nobody came until I asked for help from people outside who passed by to call the hotel staff from the opposite hotel. I was about to miss the bus to the airport. Ring never works!! - The curtain is damaged so it could not be close properly. - Saop stand was damaged and totally gone. Hot water was sometimes sudden became too hot. - Sink was clotted. - No lift and no assistance. - FYI, rooftop is closed and no breakfast provides.

Very warm staff. The hotel was so safe, you could leave your door unlocked without getting anything stolen. Very affordable for a hotel right next to the beach. The hotel just has the essentials like a bed and shower. You get what you pay for. We love Hector!
