5 star .. this place made my girlfriend very happy and if my girlfriend is happy that makes me happy .. been to Playa many times and very disappointed with cold pools on cool nights but not here they had the most amazing rooftop HEATED pool .the price was very on point after checking around 1st choice was the right choice ..

Rooftop bar was ok - odd entrance with no signs. Good vibe.

BE CAREFUL WITH THIS ESTABLISHMENT, YOU WILL BE DEALING WITH FRAUD AS THEY ASK YOUR CREDITCARD FOR A DEPOSIT OF $100 BUT THEY USE IT FOR OTHER CHARGES, DOUBLE YOUR STAY. BESIDE FROM THAT, IT HAS NO HOUSEKEEPING, THEY SOMETIMES CLOSE THE ENTRANCE DOOR SO YOU HAVE NO ACCESS TO YOUR ROOM AND THE MANAGEMENT IS RUDE WHEN THE HOTEL HAS NO ELECTRICITY, STAY AWAY.

I really enjoyed this rooftop, the food was really good and the service, was great, Brulio (sorry if I misspelled) was such a lovely host, he took care of everything we need and help us tremeoundsly, I would recommend this place to anybody who wants to have great food and even better cocktails, i really enjoyed and defintly will come back with my friends, thanks Brulio for everything you did for us, f&b 10/10 location 10/10 service 50/10 the service was out of this world. Please come here!

Very clean modern rooms, awesome complimentary breakfast on rooftop by pool. Happy hour in the evening! Staff is super friendly and professional. Izmiele our waiter was excellent ?

This was our first time visiting Playa and we loved staying at Kayak Sol. From the moment Axel welcomely checked us in; to rooftop drinks served to us with stellar customer service by Rodrigo; to the front desk quickly (same day request, medical administrator was there within an hour) arranging a Covid test on site before our return to the US, everyone there took extremely good care of us. The rooms were clean, and the photos on the website match exactly what we experienced during our stay. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and thought it was tasty as well as a good portion size. We spent a lot of time on the rooftop, enjoying the beautiful view and soaking up some sun. The pool is open late and most nights it wasn't overly crowded so we could unwind after a full day of exploring. The location is also amazing, we were in walking distance to everything we wanted to see and do (1 block from 5th Avenue, 2 blocks from the beach) We were worried about the noise on 5th Avenue but the rooms really are soundproof and we used earplugs most nights so we both slept great! I believe one night I didn't use earplugs and still, the street noise wasn't too bad. If you're on the fence of where to stay while in Playa and don't want to go the resort route, give this location a try! You won't be disappointed. We're excited to return and hopefully stay here again, we'll be dreaming about the poolside drinks for awhile.

The rooms have a good soundproofing. Free breakfast is ok, but the amount they give you is very little. For example single egg omelet or scramble. Saw people coming with croissants from the bakery downstairs because the food they serve just isn't enough.

Hotel to flee, first thing: do not book with your credit card, this hotel keeps the card numbers and debits you for what they want whee they want, which is totally illegal. First of all, 100$ for a "deposit" without warning you, then things that we didn't consume at the bar, then the best for the end: 350$ again without warning us and then after calling them for an explanation with no answer they accused us of having stolen an Apple TV (that we had never seen in the room nor used, so of course not stolen) But apart from that, except from the rooms which are nice, this hotel is not worth its price at all. Every day, the staff informed us that there was no more bread and butter for breakfast (at 9 am?), there is also a « «restaurant » on the rooftop since they propose a menu, unfortunately we were told 30 minutes after placing our order that none of our dishes were available so we decided to order food on Ubereats and they finally told us that it is forbidden to bring food from outside… a joke. There was also a lot of work around which made noise and the cleaning was rarely made. Deplorable.
