I am giving this company 1 star because Google doesn’t allow you to give ZERO stars. We have rented cars with Keddy many times before and we had always been happy with the service. Unfortunately, this office is an absolute disaster. They don’t really care about the customer and are solely focused on taking advantage of tourists. I wish I had read the reviews of this place before booking. It took us 3 hours of our precious time to get our car and we ended up paying almost double the price we had actually booked it for (booked for $400usd and ended up paying $750usd). This is definitely not the way we were hoping to start our vacations. As mentioned in previous reviews, they will first try to trick you and make you pay an additional insurance, despite you having that covered either via your booking platform or credit card (see previous reviews). After a long and unnecessary discussion we actually found our way out of this one BUT then they forced us to add myself as an additional driver, which ended us costing $300usd extra. This, under the invalid argument that I had made the booking but we wanted my husband to be the driver (which was non-sense as we had not provided any documents and we hadn’t paid yet). We asked them to simply change the driver, but they said they couldn’t do that so they basically forced us to add both of us as drivers, at a cost of $25usd per day, otherwise they wouldn’t release the car. We had rented two vehicles with Keddy in Mexico City some weeks before and this was not a problem at all (I made the booking but my husband was the driver). We spoke to the manger, who has absolutely no empathy or customer service spirit whatsoever. Also worthy to mention that there were at least 20 families waiting for a car, the service was slow, and the truck where you do the registration was crowded; which in times of a pandemic is not ideal. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

I used Keddy for a 15 day rental and it was overall a good experience. I had read the reviews about the insurance 'scam' and so I made sure when I booked the car had insurance and I also took out a policy to protect my excess with Zurich insurance, this is something I always do in Europe too. There were two people in front of me and both Germans and they were having issues, one was refusing to let Keddy block out $1000 on their credit card when this is very clearly stated in the T's+C's and is much less than gets blocked out in Europe. The second was arguing over insurance, I don't know how he booked the car but he had booked it without any insurance at all, probably to reduce the price but quite rightly Keddy were refusing him the car unless he purchased insurance. We had about a 15 min wait at the terminal and then the process took about 30 minutes once we arrived at the rental location. They lose a point in the review as when we returned the vehicle it was a slow process we had about a 20 minute wait until the vehicle was checked and then we had a further 20 minute wait for the shuttle bus to the terminal, we were then the last terminal to get dropped off, it took about 1 hour from arriving at the rental location until we got to the terminal. The was a $4 USD a day charge on top of the rental fee, I believe this is some sort of tax on rental cars from the airport foot print. The deposit was unblocked on my credit card by the time I had arrived at the terminal. Overall I would definitely recommend Keddy but just make sure you have insurance included in the booking, the staff were friendly and courteous.

Overall ok but make sure to take a video and pictures of the car in and out before you leave the lot, they try and get clever when you bring it back and order online before you arrive as any negotiation just ends up in you getting ripped off.

Worst experience ever. Once you arrive at the rental location you see a different name Fox rental car. It already looks shady. Service is very slow and after waiting for almost 1 hour to get help and we found out that we have to pay 3 times the price of the rental car for insurance or put $18000 deposit on our credit card. We were tired and ended up paying. The insurance + $1000 additional deposit. We come to Mexico every year for a week and never had this experience with a rental car company. On top of everything when we returned our car, the lady who inspected it tried to charge us for a scratch on the rear bumper. Thankfully I saw it at the time we took the vehicle and had picture of it. Be careful! Total scam

STAY AWAY. No, really. Total scam. I reserved on Booking.com. Cost was $118 for two drivers. I read everything and was aware of extra insurance costs and the $9k hold they would put on my credit card. When we got there we had to walk to the place because shuttle never came. We waited an hour outside a trailer and when I finally got in they wanted almost $500 just for one driver and the cost was going to be close to $1200 after insurance, despite my having already purchased it. While I was there all the other people in there had the same issue of the price tripling. We ended up leaving with others to go find another rental company back at the airport. Again, stay away!!!

They use Contactless payment option for deposit on credit card, which has limit and they say credit card is not working. This way try to sell extra insurance. Scam! Be aware and dont let them use contactless option even you insert the card!

Do not understand the negative reviews here. Rented a car for two weeks from them without the slightest problem. Took for 10 min from the time I got out of the terminal until I arrived at the rental cars using their transfer. Was hit by an old woman when my car was parked, they came and replaced my car without any problems or extra charge. (Had no insurance via keddy even) Check-in took 8 minutes from the time I arrived until I was on my way to the airport again. And paid about $ 350 for 2 weeks, everything was above expectations.

Total scam. This photo is the waiting area. Enjoy rain and bug bites while you wait for two hours to get your car. Time to wait for transportation from the airport to rental lot was 45 minutes. Time to speak to representative in a trailer was 30 minutes. Time to process the booking was 30 minutes. Time to wait for rental car one hour! They do not keep the cars on the lot. Biggest scam is that we have insurance on our credit card and we also purchased additional insurance when renting the vehicle, but we were told we still had to purchase their insurance at a minimum of $50 per day in order to leave with a vehicle. There was no option if we wanted to pick up a vehicle. So we had a $350 additional charge to our rental where we had already paid for with no option to cancel. They additionally charged a $1000 deposit to my credit card which they will deduct from for any damage. Half the people that walked in to get a car walked out. We would have too, but it was so late we just decided to pay the scam fees just to get a car, not realizing they didn’t even have cars on the lot and are bringing our car from who knows where. Every one of the 30 people out here waiting for a car is saying the same thing. I don’t know how they have three star average reviews. This is zero stars. Not even a full tank of gas or happy smile to try to make this awful experience better. Jan 3 2022 update: they responded to my review, so I emailed them back. I will update if they try to make this right. Jan 4 2022: no response from them to my email detailing the issue with having purchased insurance, and having it through Amex, that they refused to recognize Jan 8 2022: still no response to my email they requested I send them Jan 10 2022: I sent them a second email to follow up on issues as they requested Jan 18 2022: no response to either email, so it’s obvious their “concern” review response is fake. I also have not received my $1000 deposit back yet, 9 days after returning the car, so I’m starting to get even more alarmed!!!!
