La Casona Hotel & Hostel - 77760 Tulum

I really enjoyed my stay here and the rooms are clean and the matresses oh so comfy. It is a bit far from the center of the action of the village and the 4 bed dorm is too small for four people with backpacks. Helpful staff and free breakfast

Very friendly and inviting staff! lots of toilets and showers to use and they were all very clean. We stayed in the 6 person dorm, and thanks to the big wall divider it was more like a 3 person dorm. It's a very nice room with lots of space, big lockers, and comfy beds. The only problem was that the rooms are very very hot with no air conditioning or ceiling fans. We were lucky enough to each get a personalized fan blowing in our direction which helped greatly, but that was because the hostel wasnt fully booked and took fans from the unused rooms. If it wasnt for the fans it would have been unbearable!

Nice hostel a little off the main drag but only few mins walk and was nice to not be on the main street as its quite busy. Having bike hire on site was useful as well. I don’t recall if breakfast was included as I dont take breakfast myself so cant comment on any breakfast but the kitchen facilities are good although (I think they could do with an extra fridge though as it was very full). the bathroom area was clean

I loved it here! Especially because it is in Tulum! The area is really calm, perfect! At 5.30 am theres already people cooking breakfast burritos across the street. The staff was very family-like and very privacy generous. The showers and toilets were really nice. There was a 3-shared-bedroom, but we didnt have a lock on our door. Breakfast buffet was pretty good for a hostel, they baked pancakes and even had prepared sandwishes and cereal. Free parking was no issue, plenty of space in front of the hostel! Bikes for rent was a good extra!

I had a great experience at La Casona. I stayed for a few nights with my daughter while traveling around Tulum and beyond. There's plenty of parking space across the street, great if you drove into town. Staff is friendly and helpful, always happy to go above and beyond. Highly recommended ++

You get what you pay for - of course. Tulum is overall a pricy place, and we only spent one night at this place. The rooms are small and equipped with a loud, standing fan ?️?️ The showers have a low pressure and the lack of real curtains makes the tiny room quite lid up in the morning. Depending on which level you stay at it could be a bit loud from other, near-by neighbors. The area is ok, nothing dangerous about it with really delicious street food nearby and connections to the beach, Carmen or other locations. Don't get fooled by taking a cab down to the beach though - just look for those vans with red stickers in the front. Regular cabs might charge you more than 200-300 Peso while the local transports are just a few peso.

Spacious, with high ceilings and a comfy matrace, always perfectly clean. Very nice staff too. I stayed in a dorm and I liked it. Compared to hostels in Playa this one was comfortable, for a cheaper price and quiet. No loud party music from outside. You can also rent a bicycle for 150 pesos. Tip: don't book online but come to ask in person, you'll get a little bit better price. Tip 2: there's a Pizzeria 1 min walk from the hostel, so even if it's raining you can get some cheap food fast.

The rooms that i saw didnt have a normal door, so you can hear everything. Staff at night was giving parties with his friends, so impossible to sleep.
