A beautiful, open air patio with amazing food and equally incredible service. Juan on first shift is an abundance of good vibes helping set the perfect mood for a great day. Ray in the evening is witty & fun. All of the dishes are fresh and flavorful. We stayed at the guest house for 5 days and ate at the cafe at least twice each day & every meal was exceptional! Highly recommend!

I had dinner at Layla a couple of times, tried different gluten-free pizzas and loved them all. Highly recommended ?

A wide variety of eclectic and creative dishes. So accommodating for a nut and bean allergy as well. The service with Ray and his coworkers was above and beyond. The food here is a vegan’s paradise and I love that they minimize “chemical/processed” ingredients. This is a very refreshing and welcoming place! The juices and smoothies are phenomenal and so are the pizzas. We were very satisfied and can’t wait to come back! Thank you so much Laylas for this amazing culinary experience :)

Best vegan pizza I've tried in Mexico! Also, the empanadas are all super delicious!

This review is long overdue. But my feelings about this place are so strong that it doesn't even matter because to me it almost feels like I was there last week! <3 I don't even know where to start!? The food, the friends, the atmosphere... this place is full of some of the best in Puerto Morelos. Let's just go in order of mention- so the food. I cannot speak to the "traditional" menu (that I honestly hope sees its way out permanently lol) because it's not vegan. I can however speak to just about everything that is on their awesome vegan menu! My mouth is starting to water thinking about it now... in a nutshell, I'd call it elevated comfort food; think empanadas, pizza, pasta and a few very tasty desserts. OMG the pasta dish I had... drool... Quentin Sorrentino- gluten free ravioli, I did have it more than once in fact, in addition to multiple empanadas and more than my fair share of pizza. Everything is scratch made, fresh- like I watched my empanadas being stuffed for my order, right there! Everything I ate left me feeling satisfied and full without that gross heavy feeling that usually accompanies indulgent food. This place however has struck that balance between comfort satisfaction and healthy without a doubt. Oh, and I even brought empanadas back to Chicago with me. I had to! The friends now... this means everyone in the place! Staff did their jobs accordingly- and are all very good at what they each do, their care and passion are visible, but they treat you like a friend from the moment you arrive which is what stands out. Being a single vacationer/diner, I found it easy to feel at home here and made plenty of friends between the staff and other patrons. Which of course takes us to the atmosphere... it's built on the familial friendliness of all the people that make up Layla's which makes it all of what I just said and more. The space itself is pretty great; open air, unique boutique hotel above, near the beach... but again, it is the people and what they bring. They host different types of evenings, one being karaoke nights with Jaden Cornelius, so fun! My face hurt from smiling so much and I hadn't laughed so hard in so long thanks to the wildly entertaining and engaging spirit of child like abandon and play. Might sound corny- but really, I often left there feeling like a little kid who just had the best play date ever with my friends. This place should definitely not be missed!

Truly top notch. Provides excellent services from Food to cafe drinks and amazing charred pizza made in an updated kitchen. The details matter and they have the details in the lemonade drinks, coffee drinks and the presentation of pizza. Provided services to explore the surrounding area with services to nearby cenote and wood carving etc.

After trying almost the entire menu, I can honestly say that everything here is absolutely delicious. Maybe it’s the house cheese, maybe it’s the sauces they give you ots or maybe it was the Mexican cookie crust on their cheesecake or the friendly faces that greet you at the door…. Either way something kept us coming back for more and more and it was better each time! They even let you do half and half pies so you can try them all. 1 pizza was perfect for 2 people, but best believe we also tried the rainbow tofu ? and parmigiana berenjenas ? and that cheesecake was to die for!! Can’t wait to come back!! Oh yeah- cheese and spinach empanada for the winnnnn! Dang I love this place.

The most delicious guacamole and flax seed gluten-free bread on the planet! The watermelon juice with mint is perfect ? All made from scratch while you wait. The service is simply superb. So glad we found this little slice of heaven before we left. And thank you for the techno house music. Totally amazing.
