Luna's Restaurant & Bar - 77940 Mahahual

The bar features swings (a personal favorite). Their beach area is clean but there is some smell from seaweed. Very pretty setting and very nice staff. Beer prices are very reasonable. We haven't tried the food yet but hope to do so on a future visit. The open WiFi is good. Also their location is away from the fray of the malecon.

Amazing place off the beaten path, with beautiful views. We rented a golf cart from Mahaual rentals by the port. With the rental came a complimentary margarita! We ate chicken tacos, which were DELICIOUS! Friendly staff that speak English well! Hope to comeback again!

Fun local bar and restaurant right on the water. The staff were fantastic! If on a cruise then we recommend not stopping at the tourist area but continue further down the path to Luna's.

First, some of the best service in Mahahual. Our host Edgar was friendly and helpful with excellent English, was a blast being served by him. The habanero oil on the table had a decent kick to it with the complimentary bread, and the lobster pizza we ordered was surprisingly good! The crust had a homemade flair to it, it was decently thick yet airy and not too heavy, with a good crisp bottom. They had a good selection of Rancho Km5 sauces to go with it, so we made each slice a unique one. Portions were massive for the price, what they call an “8 slice pizza” is really more a 16-slice hah. Still came away from it not too super full though. Their dessert special Cheesecake Mora Azul was one of the best slices of cheesecake I have ever had. Almost want to go back and order just that again! We were on the hunt to try a Mexican pizzeria in Mahahual and Luna’s seems to be the only one open Monday nights! Glad it was though, made for a surprisingly enjoyable meal and experience.

Fun?and professional??‍?staff. Best mango ? juice on this ? . Delicious guacamole ? and ? ? & pretty much everything. Awesome location, a lil secluded. Great decor with cool swinging seats along the bar. Can’t wait to visit again.

Good Food on the beach very chill...Cold Cervesa!

Great beachfront bar and grill. Prices are higher but thats mahahual. Food is great. I love the chicken fajitas, and tg Corona is always super cold. Good job on cleaning the sargasso most of the time. Swing chairs at the bar are fun and always seems to have a friendly Crowd of expats, locals, and tourists. I really have no complaints here. I would definitely recommend stopping in for a beer or a bite while your in town!

What a disgrace! The owner an aggressive alcoholic, the fish AND the shrimps he serves are two or three days old (really low quality and badly prepared too), yet he charges for his food as much as the best restaurants in town (where you can eat like a god). We did not stay in his camping, but we could see how dirty and neglected everything is here. On top: he does not even cut the coconuts off the trees on top of the tents, so on day some one will get hurt. When I told him that he started to insult me. First shocking experience in Mexico after many months here. Disgusting and disgraceful.
