Meliá Cozumel - 77600 San Miguel de Cozumel

We were staying at this hotel from December 7-21st, 2021 ( rooms 444, 446) . WiFi didn't work at all at our room (446). Also, our mob, to open the door, stopped working every day, so we had to go to the front desk to fix it. It was smelling sewage almost all the time at the room. Food was good ( nice selection). Thanks a lot to servers/ grill station people: Martin, Donald, Christina, Patricia and Leonardo. Those people really enjoy their job. Some servers are there just for tips and are lazy. Beach- is ok.....it's sad that people who stay at the hotel, don't care about the environment: many cigarettes are in sand, masks, empty bottles etc. Entertainment is good. We really enjoyed the live band! Also, big thank you to Cesar, Antonio and the guy on the towel service ( unfortunately, forgot his name)....always friendly!!!! In general, we had a good vacation. We might be back one day.

This is my second time coming to this resort. I fell in love with it the first time I came here last year, so I had to come back. The staff is super friendly and attentive. They were always greeting us. David from the entertainment activities and Adrian the waiter at the snack bar are exceptional. This time around, there was a lot of seaweed but of course that is not the hotel’s fault. They did have 6 people clearing the seaweed every single day ALL day, from 7am-6pm. It was exhausting just watching them. However, there was a place nearby within walking distance that had no seaweed. So we were able to enjoy the water. The food is delicious; however, the desserts at the buffet were alright. There are only two restaurants apart from the buffet and you have to make the reservations within 2-3 days in advance so we went ahead and booked the reservations the same day we got there. The first time I came here, they did not charge for the covid test, this time around they charged $36/person. The Mexican Show and the Mayan show were fantastic! The breakdancing show and the fire show were okay. The rooms were cleaned daily and we were always provided with water in the room, you could even ask for more. The mini fridge was restocked every day, and it was complimentary. Overall it was a great experience and I will definitely come back!

Amazing and large variety of food. Super nice, professiona,l and funny staff. The beach is really beautiful and the pool is the best I've ever been in! Though after rain, the beach can get pretty sandy, it's still beautiful. The hotel rooms are also really nice, providing everything you could possible want, and more. Shampoo, bathing gels, bottles of cold beverages, the softest towels, etc. The late show, after dinner is also a great way to end your night. There are singers and dancers, and even piñatas for the little kids. There is also a fantasia theatre where performances such as just dancers, live bands and dancers, live DJ, and more are shown. Day to day activities, such as bingo, pool volleyball, pool dancing, dancing lessons, kids club and other activities are also fun to participate in. Truly recommend this resort!

Very nice place but food could be better. Drinks are good but obviously watered down. The staff is fantastic though! Shout out to Enrique, the bartender at the pool bar and Caesar, the entertainer! Made our stay fantastic. The grounds are super clean and always well maintained but the food and drinks need to be improved.

Clean resort with beautiful white sandy beach. Very quiet and peaceful. Quite a bit of seaweed, but that's mother nature. The strength of Melia is with it's staff. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. You felt like they got to know you during your stay. Particular shout outs to Adrian and Humberto. Their service and friendliness went above and beyond, they always made us feel welcome. And Cesar and Gerardo at the pool were friendly to everyone and made sure everyone was taken care of. David checked in with us regularly to ensure we were having a great time. Overall, everyone was attentive to our needs. Wonderful experience, would definitely come back ??

We've never been to an all inclusive resort. Food and drink were good. Property was kept very clean. The staff was exceptional! To many to name but Gabriel & Jorge made each meal more enjoyable, just by their presence!

My daughter and I had a fabulous time! The weather being perfect didn’t hurt. The resort is very clean - it shows its age in a few spots, but the resort is obviously working to cosmetically spruce things up where it’s needed. The staff are very friendly and helpful - special shout-out to Mary, Geovani, and Cesar who ran the activities - beach volleyball with you guys was a blast! Such a fun group. The food was really good - lots of variety and very well prepared. We did the buffet for most of our meals and there was only one dinner that wasn’t fantastic (there was a wedding on at the time so I assume they had diverted some resources that way). Shout out to the Omelette ladies, and to Anna the server. The beach and pool were always clean - they raked the sand at 7 am every morning to remove any accumulated seaweed. We never had any problems getting beach/pool chairs. Depending on the wind the water could be cloudy, but there’s a neighbouring beach - literally steps from the resort - that is always crystal clear where the fish swim all around you as you swim/snorkel - really nice. We had such a great time we’re looking to find a time to come down with the rest of the family :)

The Meliá Cozumel was an amazing resort to visit for our spring break trip. We had an amazing time. When we arrived, we were greeted by staff and our bags were taking to a holding room since our room was still being cleaned. We only had to wait maybe a half hour before we could get into our room. The front desk staff were very polite and welcoming. When we got up to our room, it was very clean with amazing views. We booked and ocean view and it did not disappoint. The staff that cleaned our room did a thorough job every day. The entertainment staff was there from 9 in the morning to 11 at night and you never saw them not smile. We chatted with Carlos and he was so polite to talk with us and answer our questions. That team was able to make sure you were having a great time. We did have massages while we were there and they were pretty relaxing. Gloria did my massage. She made me feel comfortable and did a great job! Next memorable staff member was William. He is at the Adult Pool bar. The entire time we were there, he never stopped! He knew how to make every drink you asked him too. You could taste the liquor he put in his drinks, not like other resorts when you a drinking an almost virgin drink. His drinks were very good. The beach was beautiful but there was a lot of seaweed on the beach and in the water but that's an uncontrollable. Meliá did have multiple workers raking and removing the seaweed the days we were there but the ocean was just producing too much. They worked so hard! The reason I gave Meliá 4 stars instead of 5 is because most of the food was just okay. And I do understand it's hard to cook for a lot people but it was a lukewarm week at the buffet. The made to order food was amazing! Overall, the Meliá Cozumel is an amazing resort! I would suggest it to anyone and will make sure to revisit this beautiful resort!
