Okoru Sushi Bar Tulum - 77760 Tulum

Hands down the best restaurant in tulum. Chefs are all passionate AF about making the food, real Japanese wasabi root, white ginger, customized to my Vegan needs without Garlic and Onions. This is a hidden gem, worth every penny you spend, younger staff, all go getters in terms of perfection for the food. Honestly i am very impressed, traveled 45 + countries, this is one of the best.

Okoru Tulum by far exceeded all of my expectations on any restaurant I’ve been to. Especially traveling outside of the country it is hard to find good food with great people. The food was not only delicious and to die for. Mario, our server, gave excellent service. Mario spoke with the chef to create an option that wasn't on the menu for my friend who has celiac. He didn’t have to go out of his way and he did for her so that she could have a wonderful dinner. It was a great experience one that I will always remember ??

Stopped in on our way from a cenote to our hotel and it was absolutely incredible!!! Our waiter was Mario! A++ ? We sat at the bar and watched so much detail from Felipe put into the dishes, it was really amazing! The food was phenomenal! We will be back and we will be telling our friends about our experience! Just wanted to leave a review on your IG because you’re a hidden gem!

1. The sushi is not good. Miso soup and sushi was way too salty. I think the chef put too much salt on it. 2. The waiter here Mario he talked suggested to order some more drinks even if we said no for 2 times and then suggested desert again. Lol. I didn’t feel comfortable because I think he doesn’t have proper manner for this restaurant (that is not cheap at all) and he called one of our friend ‘bro’ and was not fun at all. 3. I had to wait 20-30 mins for him to take orders and food came too slow(40-50 mins) 4. And the guy asked us to review’and give a 5stars and It made me write a review. Maybe it’s better not to ask people for the review because it was terrible Overall service wasn’t good for the price and the food is not good as well. Of course Im not expecting the best cuz this is Tulum and I’ve been so many sushi place in everywhere but I’m sure that u won’t get u paid for

Thee best dinner during our stay in Tulum!!! Amazing service, presentation, and attention to detail. Highly recommend the fish collar, truffle sashimi, & muguru roll. The roasted edamame with ginger was the tastiest edamame I’ve had! The space is beautiful and the staff were so welcoming. Mario our waiter, and the entire Okoru team were so inviting! They provided a yummy dessert to celebrate our anniversary. We will definitely be back!

Our group was looking for a spot to eat in Tulum with decent pricing. We stumbled onto this restaurant! It is a sushi restaurant, but as some other options. My group was very open to eating Sushi so it really worked out well! I am personally not a seafood fan, but I found a wonderful option. We were very well taken care of throughout our time there! We had a wonderful waitress (pictured). All the kids loved their food and some ordered an additional dish! I ordered the asparagus wrapped in steak and it was amazing. The fired rice was more or a side dish so don’t order that for a main dish. Great atmosphere and I would highly recommend this restaurant!!

My friend Azusa and I came in for omakase. The staff was amazing. Mario (waiter) referred the ‘’mezcalita’ to drink. Definitely got buzzed and it was so delicious. Love every moment here. I had such a great time with the food and everyone around ne. ?

Fantastic service and food! My friend and I ordered the omakase so we wouldn’t have to worry about selecting from the menu. The chef was kind enough to ask us about any allergies, and did his very best to speak to us in English. As for drinks, I recommend the Mezcalita—refreshing and light for the summer time.
