Paparazzi - 97780 Valladolid

Honest review — leaving such low stars is never a good feeling .. I mean how bad can you mess up Italian food?!? Food: Possibly the worst Italian food I’ve ever had in my entire life. If you go, I would say stick with pizza for this place — everyone that had pizza seemed to be enjoying it. Ravioli was a plate of six in an oil sauce the offered up nothing. As you can see in the picture a couple of them were broken open. Pasta: Tagliolino de la montagna without the Italian sausage. The sauce was like a paste and the taste was just foul. Had maybe three bites and did not finish it or take it to go — servers didn’t even bother to ask if the food was okay nor did that ask I wanted basically an entire meal to go. It is like they all know how bad it is. Oh also there are two tiny peppers served on top of this dish — they are not sundried tomatoes. Incredibly spicy and even burned my lips — no warning from our server *note we speak fluent Spanish so it was not a language barrier issue We had bread and cheese for an app which was the best part of the entire experience. However once the cheese cools down it is just Drinks: Not the best, way over priced. Yeah it’s great they have a lot of wine and a few Mexican wines but people do enjoy other wines that are not so dry. Super disappointing. Atmosphere: The ambiance is really lovely — the designer did a great job. The table we had to sit at was just way too close to the stage and the band was not very good — literally in between every song it took them 2-3 minutes to figure out what song to play next. For some reason the owner has a car that is the generals car with the giant confederate flag on top ... not sure why and also not a good look for a nice restaurant. Service: Mediocre at best Cost: wayyyyyy to expensive for what you get. Can find better food from a street cart for 20 pesos

Food was really good, great live band and nice vibe. I would recommend the bruchetta classica and the pizza Italiano! The grande pizza is imo for two people.

On your next trip to Valladolid, you cannot miss the new Italian Restaurant Paparazzi at calzada del Fraile. If you come at nigth, you migth be lucky and hear the Ovejas Negras band. Food is excellent, service impecable and the architechture of the place is great. Do not miss the bathroom. It is an unexpected cool experience. Take your time to appreciate the details. The chandelliers in the kitchen area, the singer machine, the vespa on the stage, the cenote underwater pictures of Johan Mennes. The inside bar area, using 1900's furniture, the formal dinning area inside, the ligthing of the outside area. The special ligthing that only come from the flMes of the fire burning on a real barbacue area that is by the pizza oven. I know that is sounds like I am talking of a hundred different places at once, but somehow it all work very well together forming this fantastic unique please. Post update: I just learned that the owner of this Paparazzy is the ex owner of the Paparazzi in Puerto Aventuras. What are the odds of driving form Puerto to Valladolid, choose a random restaurant for dinner and end up on a restaurant of an ex Puerto Aventuras resident

We had a very nice time here! The live band was outstanding and the food was tasteful and well presented. Staff was friendly and quick.

When we walked in, no one greeted us and we had to wander around and ask for a table. Due to the first impression, my expectations were low. HOWEVER I’m pleased to say this was the most memorable restaurant during my one week trip to Mexico. The servers and staff were very kind and attentive. The pizza was absolutely delicious - perfectly balanced and wonderfully executed. Not greasy at all! And the drinks were also some of the best from our entire trip. The design and decor of the restaurant itself is also very nice and unique. Overall, the entire concept and menu seemed very well planned and though out. UNFORGETTABLE

Beautiful setting for a nice dinner. Service was great. The pizza’s were very good. Be sure to check out the bathroom even if you don’t need to go!

I was so disappointed at Paparazzi last night. I wanted a nice rib eye steak and what I got was a thin piece of meat with lots of grissle. I asked two separate waiters and even showed them a Google photo of what a rib eye was supposed to be and they both tried to tell me what I had was rib eye. You be the judge. The staff were very polite but I regret not speaking to the manager. The rest of the meal and ambiance were lovely but this was definitely not worth $480p

The rating of this restaurant is not true. This is an example of just disgusting service. We got part of our order. Small portions of appetizers. The waiter said to wait another 10 minutes for pizza. This happened several times. After 50 minutes of waiting, the waiter came and laughingly said that the cook was busy and we needed to wait another 10 minutes. We waited more than 50 minutes for pizza and we didn't have time. We had to leave. Dirty dishes after snacks stood on the table until the end, no one cleaned it. The waiter just didn't pick up the dishes. The waiters were just joking and talking for another 10 minutes. And they only accept cash. Very sorry for the wasted time. Mexico is a wonderful country. There are wonderful people in Mexico. But this is the lousiest restaurant we've been to in Mexico.
