★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A fantastic place to buy beading supplies. But more, they sell art and jewelry made by the wixárikas or huichol indigenous people.
The shelves overflow with earrings, necklace sets, woven bags, yarn paintings, carved figures covered in dazzling patterns of seed beads, and more. The prices are less than you generally pay when you buy direct from the wixárikas, and there is more to choose from, as they have a medium sized retail space, instead of a small market stall.
That said, most of what they have is kept behind glass, so you have to ask to see things. For example, earrings, for the most part, are sorted by style and put into small labeled bins, which you have to dig through to see the incredible variety of colors and patterns, as well as quality of the piece.
