Nice place to enjoy Italian cuisine

One of the 5 *beach front hotels of the RIU network is Yucatan. Located about 3km from the city of Playa del Carmen, in a closed and guarded condominium,,Playacar,,. The hotel Riu Yucatan has a total of 507 rooms divided into three-storey blocks, 6 bars (including 1 swim up) and 4 restaurants. Immediately after crossing it we will find a full service Spa & gym on the left and also a doctor. The hotel itself has a 24 hour front desk, where isn't only check in (15: 00) and check out (11: 00), provides a currency exchange, taxi, wellness, wedding coordinator (especially during busiest season is highly recommended to think about it, at least 2-3 weeks before you coming and contact them in advance), upgrading rooms and many other things - Stuff is very nice and accommodating, and my experience is, that even really experienced and helpful. By staying at the hotel, you will also gain access to the hotels-Riu Tequila, Riu Palace. Right next to the reception is also available car hire (which we used and we were fully satisfied - do not forget to have a credit card when you book your car - be careful, credit card is not debit card!!!) . In the reception area is also a SHOP where you can buy small items, PHOTOGRAPHER , BAR .. Throughout the area (and what I was pleasantly surprised - even on the beach) is available free WIFI for guests. The rooms are fully air-conditioned, clean and regularly tided. The cleaning staff works really well and we always had a surprise on our bed - always another animal made of towels. What bothered me, the rooms feel moisture and a little musty smell. The shower solution is not fortunate - has a glass door with a direct interaction with the living part of the room, thus losing some kind of intimacy in the shower. Nothing else, but I would not blame the rooms. Rooms have about 30m2 ) in the case of upgraded room 70m2) . Of course there is a safe, towels, vespers, blanket, refrigerator and regularly supplemented free bar / whiskey, vodka, gin, tequila, beer, water, pepsi ../ and balcony. From October 2017, there is an environmental tax - MXN 20 (1EUR; 0,90GBP) per room per night. The food in the restaurants was excellent, varied, fresh and regularly supplemented. Every day a themed dinner was available, but there was also an A la Carte Asian and Italian restaurant and also a Steak House / Mexican restaurant. However, the snack bar near the beach and swimming pool is open all day. All day there are several bars, which you do not limit anything, so you can at any hour of the day or night give what you want. There is a wide choice of alcoholic/branded/soft drinks, mixed fresh fruit drinks, coffee for all kinds and of course - don't forget to taste Tequila bum. The hotel area is large, nestled in the tropical garden area, where you can meet free iguanas, parrots, monkeys and coaties. Swimming pools are clean and maintained, around them and on the beach are loungers (free). Of course there are free towels, which you can change as needed dry and clean. At check-in you will receive a plastic card, which you change during your stay for a towel, and you must hand it over at check-out. The beach is beautiful white, kept clean and the sea, as we are used to in the Caribbean, beautiful turquoise blue. Cozumel Island emerges from the beach in a long distance from the sea, and in the morning there are beautiful sunrises. After the beach in about 30-40 minutes walk and sunbathing and after a passing of all beach front hotels you are heading to Playa del Carmen and Ferry Port. During the day there are animators in hotel (voleyball, darts, aquagym, yoga ..)and Kids club Riuland. Every evening there is a thematic program and a presentation and announcement of the daily activities. Don't forget, you have free daily kayaking for 1 hour, you only need, to register on the beach in the morning. The hotel (like other hotels from the RIU network) has made me feel clean, refined and expected to be a 5 * hotel and, personally, I was most satisfied.

It's amazing there! You have little fish swimming around, amazing views and it's very clean hanks to the members of staff. The only thing it needs are some closer public toilets.
