Please do yourself a favor and stay away from this hotel. Stayed there for 1 night. Dirty bedsheets, old and smelly towels, uncomfortable bed, no WiFi and a barely working TV. The room did not seem to be clean at all. I don’t understand how this can be rated as a 4-star hotel. The only positive thing about this hotel is the location

Terrible stay. We left a day early because the AC in our room didn't work well, the claw foot tub didn't work at all and they were doing construction above our room, hammering all day! The wifi cut off every 30 minutes and we couldn't use the pool. Alejandro and David were great but other than the drinks it was a terrible stop during our vacation. Won't be going back.

!Disgusting! One of the worst hotels rooms I ever stayed in. Mouldy walls, mouldy bathroom, dirty bed linen. Dripping mouldy shower, really dirty toilet seat. Spiderwebs over years...on and on and on. Is that what they call boutique hotel ?! Wreck it down! Pretty sad because good located building, courtyard and bars are nice... I uploaded 15 pictures you will find in „photos from visitors“ down here they only show 2 of them ...

As I sit in the indoor courtyard, having just finished a remarkable lunch, I am struck by how much great hospitality these folks give in day to day dealings. Warm and caring, thoughtful, it seems as if I run out of compliments for this hotel. Good food, quiet pool area that can get busy but not seem not too loud. Hotel is historic, so if you want modern amenities it may not be for you. I will be back, it was perfect.

This was the most remarkable experience in terms of being immersed in the cultural experience. The history, the sights, the food, but mostly, the people, were beyond wonderful. The staff were welcoming and attentive; the rooms were quaint with beautiful "Princess Style" netting; the whole hotel was a beautiful setting with a lovely patio out the back to relax and enjoy; the food was incredibly fresh and delicious and added to the whole Mexican experience. The staff was so wonderful, it was a really a family by the time we went to leave, everyone even hugged goodbye, it was so touching and really sad to leave. Thanks to all the staff for the incredible experience!! So, if you are looking to really experience what Mexico has to offer, I highly recommend!!

Good location, clean rooms and friendly staff. Key cards to rooms were inoperative. Staff had to let you in every time you left the room. A small discount should have been in the order. Can't beat the location.

This is not a 4-star hotel. It’s a beautiful 2-star historic hotel with barebone amenities. First, the bad: Wifi does not work. No hot water. Construction noises outside your room. It was definitely a below average stay for what we paid and expected. Now, the good: The space itself is beautiful. Our room was clean (thankfully unlike other reviewers experience). AC worked. Staff was polite and helpful. I can’t imagine any of the bad issues being addressed anytime soon, so I would tell anyone to enjoy the bar and views of the cathedral, but stay somewhere else!

The staff was very accommodating and kind. The room was spacious and clean . Location is in the heart of Merida.
