★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a neat little place to visit on the way to Varacruz. The home of Cortes is located in a small park here and is easily explored on foot. The water level was once higher so you can see the huge exposed roots of the giant trees that Cortes and others once anchored theit ships. The old home is being taken back by the jungle and looks eerie with the long roots of the trees pouring down the walls to the ground. Neat history!
