Ray's Barbershop - 77720 Playa del Carmen

Seemed expensive but I don't know any better...300 for a cut, shave and style. Great attention to detail, you can tell they take pride in their work. One of the best cuts I've had, I would recommend them.

Not a very good haircut to be honest. The kid who cut my hair was 16 years old. Also he didn't have change for 200 so I overpaid.

Of the few I walked past in playa del Carmen this Barbershop looked legit. Unlike other places, they had their prices listed on a sign, so you knew upfront what you'd be charged. This Barber shop was bigger and much cleaner than others I'd seen a few blocks away, plus they had AC. All the barbers looked like they knew what they were doing. They use precision and pay attention to all of the details to ensure you look good when you leave. I walked out of there looking sharp and a very happy customer. If you're in the area and want a great haircut, I'd definitely recommend you check them out. Incredible value for the price. Honorable mentions that makes this place standout compared to the others in the area. 1. Staffs do speak a little English and they use translator app which is very helpful to communicate. 2. They have various haircuts on the wall that you can point to if it matches the style you want. 3. The area is clean, updated and well maintained. 4. Conveniently located right across the super market (MEGA store). 5. All of the barbers are friendly and polite. 6. The waiting area is nice with a big comfy couch. 7. Two big flat screens for entertainment with surround sound.

Was given a bad and incomplete haircut, then got extorted by the shop owner after he told me my haircut was now double the price agreed upon with the barber that actually cut my hair. Then he called the police on me. No way to treat a guest. Go at your own discretion.
