Rosewood Mayakoba - 77710 Playa del Carmen

Absolutely stunning resort and high class service. The property it breathtaking, the mangroves, the river, the beach, pools, villas. I saw a monkey as well which was a neat surprise. The level of detail is so impeccable honestly. Every staff member was so unbelievably friendly, helpful, and professional. This place was a dream, highly recommend if you are staying in Playa or Cancún.

The resort, restaurants, and rooms are incredible and worthy of a perfect score on their own. The staff separate this place from any other place I've stayed at and would make me give it a 6 or 7 stars if possible. The most professional and lovely people all around who elevated everything around us. Made our delayed honeymoon/anniversary stay magical and forever memorable. We can't wait to return!

Wow. We were completely blown away with the level of service, attention to detail, and the amazing attitudes of all the staff during our stay at Rosewood Mayakoba for our honeymoon. The rooms were amazing, the food delicious, amenities great but ultimately it was the staff that made our stay so special. Every single Rosewood Mayakoba employee we passed on the way to dinner, the pool, gym etc always said hello to us throughout our 7 day stay. In addition, each day we had multiple members of the staff (that we had met earlier in the trip) come by and see us whether we were at the pool or dinner to make sure we were enjoying our stay and if we needed anything. The staff seemed like they knew what we needed it before we needed it. Kudos to the management of Rosewood Mayakoba. We were fortunate enough to meet Maria Jose (who walked up and introduced herself and knew our names) and we tried our best to express how amazing her team is. We will recommend and be back to Rosewood Mayakoba and though the property itself is truly amazing, the people/team of Rosewood Mayakoba is what will bring us back. The staff that especially made us feel special were Christian (our butler), Raul, Jose Maria, Fancisco, Maria Jose, Victor, Erika, Sandra, Julian, Pablo, and Aaron (our driver). All of you made our trip so memorable.

My husband and I just returned from an incredible 3 day stay at the Rosewood Mayakoba where we went to celebrate our anniversary. Rosewood is paradise and we’re still glowing from our trip. Yes, it is expensive but you’re paying for luxury and luxury is what you get. All the staff are incredible and everyone is so friendly. They go above and beyond to ensure every request is met and you feel pampered your entire stay. We booked the private transportation from the airport which I highly recommend, it sets the tone for your stay. We were greeted with cold water, beer and wifi in our luxury Escalade and the driver had an excellent playlist. When we arrived at the hotel we were given the most delicious welcome drink, quickly checked in and then taken by boat to our beautiful deluxe overwater lagoon suite. The trip was a surprise for my husband and he was blown away when he saw where we were staying. Our butlers, Lili and Omar, did everything to make our suite a dream. We dined at Zapote our first night (Tuesday) where they had a bartender from Mexico City (delicious cocktails) and incredibly fun live music. The next day we enjoyed the Kuxtal Sensorial Garden experience a very unique 3 hour spa session that connects you to Mayan traditions. Marta and Nancy took such wonderful care of us and we left feeling completely rejuvenated. That night we went to a pre-fix dinner. When making our reservation a week before I asked that it be passed on that we are vegetarian / vegan and if modifications could be made for our dinner. When we arrived this had apparently not been passed on BUT the chef proceeded to make us a 10 course tasting dinner all vegetarian / vegan on the fly! On that note they have a wide variety of vegetarian / vegan options throughout the property and they are all delicious. Our final day we spent time at each of the pools and beach and continued to enjoy the wonderful hospitality. For our final night we had a private dinner at the cenote which was just spectacular. The ambience was incredible, the food delicious and the service wonderful. Huge thanks to Cynthia who spent a considerable amount of time helping me plan this perfect evening. Throughout the week we enjoyed room service for our breakfasts while we lounged in our private pool and lunches at Punta Bonita (I’m still dreaming about the beer battered avocado tacos). Miguel at Punta Bonita was so kind and took wonderful care of us. It goes without saying we had the absolute best time and can’t wait to go back. This place truly blew me away. It was as close to perfect as you can get. The grounds are gorgeous, the rooms are amazing, the food is phenomenal, the drinks are on point, the wine selection is excellent and the thing that truly sets it apart from anywhere else I have ever been is the STAFF!! Every single staff member we encountered was pleasant, helpful and always left you with a smile. The butler service is so prompt and everything was on time down to the minute. The finishing touches were so appreciated, especially the housekeeping! Special thank you to Daniel (manager), Pablo, Rod, Daniel (by the pool) and Pime. You all made our trip extra special. I have never experienced the level of customer service and the attention to detail that we experienced. I had such a wonderful experience staying at Rosewood Mayakoba this weekend. Such a gorgeous property with so many amenities. The thing that really stood out was the impeccable service from the staff everyone was so friendly and made us feel so welcome. Not to mention the food and drinks were so delicious!
